Account security: linking, Plarium ID and recovery

Your RAID: Shadow Legends account is months of progress, a roster of champions and a lot of real time — and it is easier to lose than most players think. Below is a practical breakdown: how Plarium ID works, which linking options actually protect your progress, and what to do if access is already gone.

Why losing an account is not a small thing

Progress lives on Plarium servers, but the game only knows who you are through a linked service: an email account, an app store account or a social network. Until something is linked, the only key to your account is the device itself and the guest login on it. A factory reset, a reinstall, a broken phone or a move to a new device can leave that progress out of reach.

The second scenario is hijacking. If someone gets into your email or social account, they can link your game profile to their own login and take it over. Account security in RAID starts outside the game — with your mailbox.

  • reinstalling the game with no link in place;
  • losing access to your email or an old social account;
  • buying or handing over an account;
  • logging in on someone else's device or through a shady client.

What Plarium ID is and why you need it

Plarium ID is the company's single account: an email, a password and a set of linked game profiles. Its value is simple — you can log into your RAID account on another device and recover access if your phone is lost.

You can create a Plarium ID from the in-game settings or through the Plarium website, and link your current game profile there. Once linked, progress stops being tied to one piece of hardware: you sign in with email and password, and on PC you can play through Plarium Play with the same account. Exact button names vary by platform and client version, but the path is always settings → account → link.

Linking options: which one to pick

MethodUpsideWhat to watch
Plarium ID (email and password)Login from any device, no dependence on social networks, clear recovery pathYou need lasting access to that mailbox, and the password must be unique
Google Play Games / Game CenterFast login in a couple of taps, tied to the store you already useDepends on the store account and on the platform
FacebookConvenient if the account is old and well protectedA hacked social account means a lost game; neglected accounts get taken over more often

Rule of thumb: make Plarium ID your primary method and an app store or social login your backup. Two independent links sharply reduce the chance of being locked out.

Access hygiene: email, passwords, two-factor

  • Keep a separate mailbox for games, so a game account theft does not drag your main email with it.
  • Use a unique password for that mailbox and for Plarium ID. A password manager beats one password for everything.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication wherever it is offered: on the mailbox, on Plarium ID and on the social account you linked.
  • Avoid logging in on other people's devices; if you had to, change the password and review your active links right away.
  • Never save the game password in a browser on a shared or work computer.
  • Every few months, check which services are linked to the account and remove the ones you no longer use.

What not to do: sharing, buying and boosting

Handing an account to a third party breaks the game rules, and in a dispute Support may decline recovery — officially, someone else was playing the profile. Buying an account is the same risk from the other side: the seller often keeps a way back in, and the original owner can contact Support and prove ownership.

Boosters and helpers who ask for your login are a separate story. Even if the person is honest, you gave access voluntarily and the consequences are yours. Third-party clients, modified builds and emulators from unknown sources are just as bad an idea: they put both your progress and the account itself at risk.

Recovering access: step by step

  1. Check every method you might have used, not just the one you remember.
  2. Restore access to the email or social account first — most lost accounts are really lost mailboxes.
  3. Contact Plarium Support through the website or from the game (settings → support) and describe it as lost account access.
  4. Prepare evidence: Player ID if you kept a screenshot of your settings, in-game name, account level, clan, approximate start date, a few notable champions and, most convincing of all, receipts or confirmations of any purchases.
  5. Keep it to one ticket and do not open duplicates: parallel requests only slow the review down.

The more independent details you provide, the better the odds. Accounts with no link and no purchases are the hardest to recover, because Support has almost nothing to match them against.

Summary

Account security in RAID comes down to three habits. Link your profile to Plarium ID and add a second, independent login method. Enable two-factor authentication on your mailbox and on Plarium ID, and keep a dedicated email for games. Save a screenshot with your Player ID and never hand your login to boosters or friends. If access is gone anyway, fix the mailbox first, then go to Support with as many details as you can: name, level, clan, champions and purchase receipts.
