Blessings in RAID: Shadow Legends are the extra passive layer on top of gear and masteries — one per champion, and often worth more than another few percent of stats. Here is a practical 2026 view: which blessings are actually worth your attention, and who should get them.
How the blessing system works
Each champion has one blessing slot. The effect depends on the blessing type and its star level: higher stars mean a stronger bonus, so early on it is better to put a 3–4★ blessing on a key champion than to keep a 1★ “top” blessing on the bench. Upgrades come from duplicates, and this is where most players slip up — they dump every spare copy into a random blessing and then cannot improve the one they actually need. Blessings do not replace gear and masteries: they multiply what you have already built, rather than fixing a missing accuracy or speed stat.
Second point: a blessing is not a lifetime sentence. You can adjust the setup for different content, so do not be afraid to experiment. Clan Boss, Arena and Dungeons ask for different things, and the same champion can shine in different ways.
Damage: Brimstone and Phantom Touch
Brimstone is the go-to blessing for boss hitters. It adds extra damage that works especially well against targets with a large HP pool, which makes it ideal for Clan Boss, Dungeons and any long fight. Put it on frequent hitters and your main damage dealers: Acrizia, Gnut, Dark Kael, Whisper, Fayne, Coldheart, Sydax King Killer, Marius the Gallant. If a champion attacks rarely or slowly, Brimstone has less chance to shine — it wants plenty of hits.
Phantom Touch is the more universal choice: a steady bonus to attacks that works well in Arena and Dungeons, where total pressure matters more than one big number. It is a safe pick on Skullcrown, Gala Longbraids, Whisper and other champions who lean on their default attack. If you are unsure what to give an everyday damage dealer, start with Phantom Touch and save Brimstone for boss duty.
Cruelty: for debuffers and control
Cruelty is the blessing for champions who live and die by debuffs. It helps push through enemy Resistance, which means your debuffs are more likely to land in the first place. In Arena this is critical for Madame Serris and Dhukk the Pierced; in Clan Boss it is great for Dracomorph, Geomancer, Aox the Rememberer and Fayne.
Cruelty also looks good on champions who bring decrease defence and other key debuffs: Deacon Armstrong, Uugo, Stag Knight, Mithrala Lifebane. The rule is simple: if a champion is not there to deal damage but to set up the team’s damage, it wants Cruelty, not Brimstone.
Survival and Arena: Survivor and Intimidating Presence
Survivor is for tanks and supports who need to survive one more round and not fold under random focus. Prime examples are Cardiel, Mithrala Lifebane, Valkyrie, Marichka the Unbreakable and Rector Drath. On Clan Boss this kind of blessing is often worth more than a few extra percent of damage, because a living support means steady buffs and debuffs. On pure damage dealers Survivor is usually wasted — they need offence instead.
Intimidating Presence is an Arena blessing for champions who want to pressure the enemy and make their life harder. It fits Krisk, Siphi the Lost Bride, Soulless, Marichka the Unbreakable and Valkyrie. On Arena defence, these champions form a wall that is unpleasant to break even with a strong roster.
Who gets what: quick table
| Role | Blessing | Examples from the list |
|---|---|---|
| Boss and Clan Boss damage | Brimstone | Acrizia, Gnut, Dark Kael, Sydax King Killer |
| Arena and Dungeon damage | Phantom Touch | Whisper, Fayne, Skullcrown, Gala Longbraids |
| Debuffer | Cruelty | Dracomorph, Madame Serris, Dhukk the Pierced, Deacon Armstrong |
| Arena tank and support | Intimidating Presence | Krisk, Siphi the Lost Bride, Soulless, Marichka the Unbreakable |
| Healer and support | Survivor | Cardiel, Mithrala Lifebane, Valkyrie, Rector Drath |
Common mistakes
- Putting Brimstone on a pure support who barely attacks. A damage blessing only works when the champion actually lands hits.
- Chasing 5–6★ too early. One 4★ on a key champion is worth more than three 1★ blessings “just in case”.
- Dumping duplicates into the first blessing you see. Decide who your main damage dealer, debuffer and tank are first.
- Forgetting to adjust the setup for content. Clan Boss, Arena and Dungeons are different jobs, and there is no single answer for everything.
Summary
For most accounts the working setup is: Brimstone on your main boss damage dealers, Phantom Touch on Arena and Dungeon fighters, Cruelty on debuffers, and Intimidating Presence or Survivor on tanks and supports. First get 3–4★ blessings onto your key champions, then chase perfect combinations. And remember: a blessing amplifies what a champion already does well — it does not turn a support into a damage dealer.
