Phantom Shogun's Grove: Dungeon Guide

Phantom Shogun's Grove is one of those dungeons that looks optional at first and turns into a daily routine later. Here's what it's actually for, who to bring and which stats decide the run.

What the Grove gives you

The main reason to farm it is the soul resource line — Soulstones and champion souls. They cover Awakening and blessings, and without a steady supply of them even a strong legendary hits a ceiling: Awakening stars are worth more than yet another artifact set.

On top of that you get the usual dungeon rewards — silver and experience. The higher the stage, the better the drop, but the goal is not to clear the last stage once; it is to reach a stage you clear reliably on auto. One dependable stage always beats three attempts at your absolute limit where half the runs end in a wipe.

Higher stages unlock as you clear the previous ones, so the Grove is also a gradual stress test for your team.

Entry requirements

  • Five level 60 champions in proper artifacts — no glass-cannon builds.
  • Masteries on at least your key champions: survivability for supports, boss damage for your damage dealers.
  • 5–6 star artifacts with stats that make sense, not just whatever dropped.
  • A clear idea of who holds the shield, who cleanses debuffs and who deals the damage.

If the team falls apart on mid stages, the problem is almost never damage — it is survivability: no cleanse, no shield, no decrease ATK. Damage is the last thing you fix.

Team roles

  • Protection and cleanse. Shield or barrier, debuff removal, healing and revival. One such champion is often worth more than a third damage dealer.
  • Debuffs. Decrease DEF and decrease ATK, plus accuracy and speed penalties. They only land with enough Accuracy, otherwise you just burn turns.
  • Damage. Single-target nukers and champions who scale off the target's MAX HP are the most reliable answer to a beefy boss.
  • Tempo. Speed up, cooldown reset and turn meter control — key skills must come before the boss answers.

Proven options

RoleChampions
Shield, cleanse, revivalCardiel, Siphi the Lost Bride, Marichka the Unbreakable, Glorious Pallas, Vogoth, Ursala the Mourner
Debuffs and AccuracyUugo, Stag Knight, Deacon Armstrong, Dhukk the Pierced, Venomage
Boss damageAcrizia, Gnut, Coldheart, Royal Guard, Geomancer, Marius the Gallant, Tekteon Fissureflesh
Tempo and supportPrince Kymar, Yumeko, Godseeker Aniri, Fahrakin the Fat, Cecilia The Red Hope

Treat this as roles, not a shopping list. If you don't own a given champion, look for any support with cleanse and shield in your roster — it solves the same problem.

Gear, stats and masteries

  • Supports: Speed and bulk — HP% and DEF% on gloves and chest, Speed boots.
  • Debuffers: Accuracy with a healthy margin, or decrease DEF and decrease ATK simply won't stick to the boss.
  • Damage dealers: 100% crit rate first, then crit damage and their main scaling stat (ATK or HP).
  • Sets: Speed, Accuracy, Perception, and Immortal or Regeneration on your tank.
  • Masteries: survivability in Defence and Support trees, boss damage (Warmaster / Giant Slayer) on your damage dealers.

Mind the turn order as well: buffs and debuffs first, damage after. If your speed lead moves slower than your nukers, half your runs will look like hitting thin air.

Common mistakes

  1. Too little Accuracy — debuffs miss and the fight drags into a wipe.
  2. No cleanse and no shield — the team folds on the second or third wave of damage.
  3. Four damage dealers and no support "because it's faster".
  4. Farming a stage you clear every other attempt instead of a stable one.
  5. Broken turn order and unlevelled masteries on key champions.

Summary

Phantom Shogun's Grove is about Awakening and consistency, not record damage. Build a support with cleanse and shield, a debuffer with spare Accuracy and two reliable damage dealers, sort out gear and masteries — and the dungeon stops being a headache and becomes a resource tap.
