Clan vs Clan is a tournament where the most disciplined clan wins, not the strongest roster. Two clans spend roughly two days earning points, and the side with more points when the clock stops takes it. Below is where those points come from, what pays best per resource and how to pace yourself to the finish.
How the tournament works and where points come from
Matchmaking pairs clans of similar strength and activity, so you rarely get a free win against a dead clan — expect an opponent with a comparable online presence. Points are personal: every player earns their own, and they roll up into the clan total. Along the way the clan claims milestone rewards for point thresholds, and the winner gets an extra chest.
- The core point sources are Campaign, Dungeons, Faction Wars, Doom Tower and Arena.
- The full list always sits in the tournament description in the client — rules get adjusted, so check it before the start instead of playing from memory.
- Failed runs and lost battles earn little to nothing: the tournament punishes gambling on stages you cannot clear.
What actually pays best
Think in points per energy, not raw points. Expensive runs in high-stage dungeons usually beat cheap Campaign stages for the same time spent — but only if you clear them reliably and fast. A five-minute fight with a real chance of failing is not farming, it is a resource leak.
| Activity | Points | Paid with | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Campaign (chapter 12, Brutal) | Small but steady | Energy | Good way to dump leftover energy or clear dailies |
| Gear dungeons (stage 20+) | High | Energy | The main engine for strong clans |
| Resource dungeons, Minotaur | Medium | Energy | Double value if you genuinely need potions or scrolls |
| Doom Tower | Good | Silver keys | Nearly free points if floors are still open |
| Faction Wars | Small | FW keys | Keys regenerate on their own — never leave them capped |
| Classic Arena | Per win | Arena tokens | Free points, but do not tank your rating beforehand |
| Tag Team Arena | Per win | Tokens | Nice bonus if you play it anyway |
Preparation before the start
The tournament is won in the week before it. The goal is simple: do not burn resources into nothing and do not claim rewards too early.
- Energy in the inbox. Unclaimed rewards sit there and cost you nothing — but mind the expiry timer. Hold the stockpile for the start, not for the day after.
- Stack events. Gear, experience and fragment objectives run in parallel tournaments: one run can close two or three tasks at once.
- Build fast teams. Turn-meter and support pieces like Deacon Armstrong, Seeker and Fahrakin the Fat shorten fights, which means more runs in the same two days.
- Boss killers. Whisper, Acrizia and Gnut delete dungeon bosses quickly if you own and built them.
- Agree on a minimum. Post a per-player contribution floor in chat, or half the clan will "show up later".
A two-day plan
The classic failure: the clan dumps everything in the first hours, takes a lead, then has nothing left at the finish. Play it differently.
- Opening. Take the free stuff — Faction Wars keys, Doom Tower silver keys, Arena tokens. Leave energy alone for now; spend only what regenerates anyway.
- Middle. Steady dungeon farming on stages you clear safely. Watch the gap: if the opponent is far ahead, further sacrifice is pointless; if it is close, keep the pace.
- Finish. Keep a quarter to a third of your energy for the last hours. Time zones are your friend — while the other clan sleeps, you close the gap quietly.
Clan coordination
Without chat and clear rules, CvC becomes a coin flip. Keep a simple board: who has scored what, who is on which push, who still holds reserves. Name one person to watch the score and call when the clan should spend. Do not reshuffle the roster mid-tournament — a newcomer will not ramp up in time, and a leaver takes momentum with them. Reviews, kicks and invites all happen after the finish.
Common mistakes
- Burning all energy in the first hours and watching the opponent pass you late.
- Farming a stage you clear half the time: a failed run is energy with zero points.
- Playing Arena carelessly and throwing away free win points.
- Forgetting Doom Tower and Faction Wars, where points cost no energy at all.
- Ignoring the in-game tournament description and playing from habit.
Summary
CvC is a tournament of reserves and timing. Stockpile energy in advance, clear the free point sources, farm only stages you clear reliably, and keep a buffer for the last hours. A clan that talks to each other and does not panic at the start beats a stronger roster almost every time.
