In 2026 the RAID: Shadow Legends meta still runs on one rule: legendary is not a role. The same champion can hard-carry Clan Boss, sit mid-pack in the Arena and do nothing useful in a specific dungeon. This tier list is sorted by content, not by rarity — we look at what a champion actually clears for you.
How to read this tier list
I split the game into three blocks: Clan Boss, Arena and dungeons with PvE progression. A 5.0 means the champion almost solo-carries a mode and stays in your team long-term. 4.0–4.5 is a solid workhorse that holds until a top-tier option shows up.
- Role beats rarity. An epic with accuracy and debuffs is often more useful than a nuker legendary with no control.
- Flexibility. A champion who is good in three modes saves you books and gear.
- Entry cost. Some legendaries only wake up with masteries and real gear — don't expect miracles on day one.
Clan Boss: the anchors
Clan Boss is not about one huge damage number, it's about survival, debuffs and consistency. Support with shields and cleanse, poison and HP burn appliers, and champions who strip the boss's defence all earn their slot.
| Champion | Role | Why they're in the team |
|---|---|---|
| Cardiel | Support | Defensive backbone: shields, healing, debuff safety net |
| Krisk the Ageless | Support/tank | Team durability and control |
| Underpriest Brogni | Support | Shields plus boss damage through HP burn |
| Valkyrie | Support | Counterattacks and shields for steady damage |
| Mithrala Lifebane | Support | Cleanse, poison, overall reliability |
| Dracomorph | Debuffer | Decrease defence, weaken, poison |
| Titus Blackplume | Damage/debuffs | Pressure and damage on the boss |
| Gnut | Damage | Single-target damage |
| Acrizia | Damage | Damage scaling off a big HP pool |
| Sydax King Killer | Damage | High damage ceiling |
| Marius the Gallant | All-rounder | Works in Clan Boss and beyond |
| Tetsuya the Deliverer | All-rounder | Useful across several modes |
Also keep Cecilia The Red Hope, Senna Amberheart, Teodor the Savant, Lydia The Deathsiren, The Tin Woodman, Klaazag Keyhulk, Wallmaster Othorion, Niamhe Spear of Nyresa, Vault Keeper Wixwell and Acelin the Stalwart in mind — these are the champions you build defence-leaning, stable compositions around.
Arena: speed, control and burst
Arena is decided on turn one. Either you land control and delete the enemy in a single pass, or you get deleted. So we look at speed, turn meter and leader auras.
- Arbiter — the classic speed lead almost everyone started with.
- Yumeko — cooldown reset, wrecks the enemy's plan.
- Siphi the Lost Bride — cleanse and support so your team reaches turn two.
- Warlord — skill block and pressure on enemy cooldowns.
- Marichka the Unbreakable — durability and bringing champions back.
- Armanz the Magnificent — control that stops combos from happening.
- Sun Wukong, Baron, Soulless, Predator — burst damage to finish the job.
The rest of the season's top picks — Queen of Hearts, Pheidi Tealcrest, Lord Entertainer Fabian, Tekteon Fissureflesh, Leonardo, Bayek, Taras the Fierce, Hilvi the Rime-called, Solanar The Gleaming, Onryo Ieyasu, Ozilda the Wicked — usually play next to one of the supports above. Don't try to squeeze them all in: Arena rewards a coherent five, not a collection of stars.
Dungeons and PvE progression
Dungeons ask different questions: clear speed, wave handling and boss damage. The good news is that many Clan Boss top picks also cover this.
| Champion | Where they shine |
|---|---|
| Cardiel, Siphi the Lost Bride, Mithrala Lifebane | Stability in long runs |
| Gnut, Acrizia, Sydax King Killer | Boss damage |
| Pheidi Tealcrest, Tekteon Fissureflesh, Storm Herald Hekaton | Fast wave clearing |
| Prince Kymar, Yumeko | Cooldown reset, faster farming |
| Ninja | All-purpose damage |
| Marichka the Unbreakable, The Cowardly Lion, Praeva the Slitherer | Durability and control |
Glorious Pallas, Cecilia The Red Hope, Senna Amberheart, Marius the Gallant, Klaazag Keyhulk, The Tin Woodman, Bayek, Venalicia Thrallmother and Blood Marchioness Mina are champions you keep on the bench for a specific dungeon. That's normal: not every legendary has to be a universal pick.
Not only legendaries: epics and rares
If the legendaries you want refuse to drop, progress still moves — a good chunk of epics and rares cover content just as well.
| Champion | What they bring |
|---|---|
| Deacon Armstrong | Increase speed, accuracy, leader aura |
| Maneater, Demytha | Block debuffs and block damage, unkillable setups |
| Geomancer | Boss damage through HP burn |
| Seer | Wave clearing |
| Coldheart | Boss damage and turn meter reduction |
| Frozen Banshee, Fayne, Venomage, Akemtum | Poison and debuffs on the boss |
| Skullcrusher, Seeker | Counterattacks and turn meter work |
| Doompriest, Pain Keeper | Cleanse, healing, cooldown reduction |
| Uugo, Stag Knight, Dhukk the Pierced | Decrease defence and attack |
| Ursala the Mourner, Godseeker Aniri, Toragi The Frog | Healing, revives, ally protection |
Where to invest: books, masteries and gear
- Books — into supports and debuffers first, damage dealers second.
- Accuracy — if a champion lands debuffs, push it high. Without accuracy they simply don't function.
- Speed — in Arena build one fast team, not five average ones.
- Masteries — for Clan Boss take the boss-damage path (Warmaster or Giant Slayer), for Arena go speed and first strike.
- Gear — don't spread it thin: one well-geared champion beats five naked ones.
Summary
In 2026 legendaries still define your ceiling, but they don't decide everything. Build the core first: a support with shields and cleanse, a debuffer, a reliable damage dealer — and only then chase the names at the top of the list. And remember: a tier list is a priority map, not a verdict on your roster.
