Fusions: How to Clear Them Without Spending and Without Burning Out

A fusion is the most honest way to land a legendary without spending: the game asks for time, energy and discipline rather than money. Below is a practical plan for clearing a fusion in 2026 without buying out half the shop or burning out by day three.

What a fusion gives you — and what it isn't

A fusion is a time-limited chain of tournaments and events that rewards one specific legendary champion. There is no randomness to it: hit the thresholds and the champion is yours.

  • Pro: predictability. You can see the full list of stages up front and work out whether your stockpile is enough.
  • Pro: fusion champions usually fill a specific hole in a roster — PvE progression, Hydra, Arena or Clan Boss.
  • Con: a hard deadline. Resources you don't spend in time expire along with your shot.
  • Don't assume: not every fusion breaks the meta. Read the kit first, count the budget second.

The key idea: "free" here means "paid for out of what you saved". With no energy and silver banked, a fusion turns into a shop marathon.

Two formats: classic and fragment

Classic fusion. You gather several rare champions, fuse them into epics, then fuse the epics into the legendary. Some rares drop from dungeons, some come from shards, and you also need ascension materials and potions from the Keeps. It is heavier on resources but more transparent: you can see exactly which champions you're missing.

Fragment fusion. You collect champion fragments from event and tournament points. It usually takes around a hundred fragments, split across stages. This format is friendlier to newer accounts: you can skip a stage or two and still finish if your stockpile holds.

Some fusions mix both: part of the fragments come from events, part from summoning. That makes shards a critical resource, so the prep has to start early.

Preparation: what to stockpile 2–4 weeks ahead

  • Energy. Don't dump refills into random farming. Keep them in your inventory — they don't expire and you'll need them for the dungeon stages.
  • Gems. Spend them on refills only, and only when a threshold is just out of reach.
  • Shards. Bank Mystery and Ancient shards: on summon and champion-chase stages they are the cheapest source of points. Save Void and Sacred for x2 events.
  • Silver. Artifact Enhancement stages eat tens of millions. Don't burn silver on re-rolls "just in case" the week before a fusion starts.
  • Potions and Keeps. Check which affinities you're short on and top up before the start, not on the final night.
  • Food. Keep a supply of champions to level: training stages run alongside everything else.

Stage-by-stage plan

StageWhat to doWhat to watch
Dungeon tournamentsFarm the right dungeons — Dragon, Spider, Fire KnightPoints count for one specific dungeon, so don't spread out
Summon Rush and Champion ChasePull shards only inside the eventMystery shards are the cheapest point source
Artifact EnhancementUpgrade gear in batchesSet aside junk artifacts as a point buffer
Champion TrainingLevel food and rank-upsDon't burn gems on day one
Potion KeepsTop up potions for ascensionCount affinities, not "a bit of everything"
Arena and Clan BossFree points every dayDon't dump your rating on the last night

How not to burn out

  • Play for thresholds, not leaderboards. First-place rewards almost never justify the gems they cost.
  • Work out points per energy. If a stage pays poorly per run, it's cheaper to close it with shards or silver than to pour energy in.
  • Sleep. Events run for several days — one missed night almost never decides the outcome.
  • Double up. Farm a tournament in the dungeon you need gear from anyway: points and progress in one go.
  • Don't pull shards outside x2. Opening a stack for a handful of points is the fastest route to an empty inventory.

When to skip a fusion

Skipping is not losing. Walk away if you're short on shards for the summon stage, if your silver is below what Artifact Enhancement will demand, or if you can't log in at least once a day. And don't chase a champion that doesn't solve a problem you actually have: a legendary "for the collection" costs exactly the same as one you need.

Keep in mind that the next fusion is rarely far away, while a wasted stockpile takes weeks to rebuild.

Summary

A fusion is clearable without spending, but only on savings: energy, shards, silver and potions banked in advance. Track the thresholds, play for those rather than the ranking, pair tournaments with farming you needed anyway, and don't be afraid to skip a weak champion. Discipline beats the number of logins.
