Faction Wars: Dark Elves — best champions and tips

Faction Wars is a 21-stage crypt for every faction, and the Dark Elves are one of the lucky ones: buff stripping, poisons, healing and control are all in the roster. Below is who actually carries the crypt, how to build a five-slot team and what to do on the late stages so you don't stall on the boss.

Where the faction is strong

The Dark Elves don't need any clever workarounds — almost every core need of a crypt is already covered. It shows from the mid stages onwards: debuffs land, damage is there, healing is there, and all you have to do is set priorities.

  • Buff stripping. Late stages come with Shields, Immunity and buffs stacked. Lydia The Deathsiren and Madame Serris delete all of it in one press.
  • Poisons. Mithrala Lifebane and Supreme Kael chew through fat waves and the boss by HP percentage instead of raw damage.
  • Healing and Shields. Mithrala Lifebane and Blind Seer give the team the cushion it needs; without it the crypt becomes a coin flip.
  • Control. Visix the Unbowed holds the wave and slows the enemy's tempo while everyone else applies debuffs.
  • Mythicals. Aphidus The Hivelord and Arachoa Moonspinner are a lucky pull, but if you have them the crypt gets noticeably easier.

Best champions: legendaries and mythicals

The table is not a ranking of raw power — it is a role map. In a crypt it matters far more to cover every job than to field five nukers.

ChampionRoleWhy it works
Mithrala LifebaneSupportShields, poisons and cleansing: keeps the team alive while chipping the boss.
Lydia The DeathsirenDebufferStrips buffs, applies Block Revive and Decrease DEF — the main answer to buffed-up waves.
Supreme KaelDamageArea pressure plus poisons, great at finishing the boss.
Queen EvaNukerArea damage that clears waves fast.
Visix the UnbowedTank / controlSoaks the wave so your fragile champions reach the boss.
Blind SeerHealerHealing and support — insurance against late-stage wipes.
GhostbornDebufferOpens up enemy defences and gets in the way of their buffs, boosting your damage dealers.
Madame Serris (Epic)DebufferBuff strip plus Decrease DEF: the best epic in the faction.

Keep Ozilda the Wicked, Swarmspeaker Zyclic, Sydax King Killer, Mavara The Web Diviner, Noldua the Gloaming, Xenomorph, Truath, Rae, Tramaria, Maranix, Lanakis the Chosen, Varkos Headsplitter and Ruel the Huntmaster in reserve — they can help on specific stages, but you don't have to build a team around them.

Epics and a budget setup

The faction's key epic is Madame Serris: buff strip plus Decrease DEF makes her a universal slot on almost any stage. Without legendaries, the crypt still goes comfortably into the late stages on five epics and rares — what you need is Accuracy, one real damage dealer and a healer. Don't try to fix a missing legendary with more damage; fix it with Accuracy and survivability.

The five-slot team

A working template to start from:

  1. Support / healer — Mithrala Lifebane or Blind Seer.
  2. Buff strip — Lydia The Deathsiren or Madame Serris.
  3. Main damage — Supreme Kael or Queen Eva.
  4. Tank / control — Visix the Unbowed, so the wave doesn't scatter across your squishy champions.
  5. Flex slot — a second debuffer (Ghostborn) or a second healer if you keep wiping on the boss.

If something is missing, patch survivability first: one extra healer is almost always worth more in a crypt than one extra damage dealer.

Stages, boss and rewards

  • Accuracy. Late stages resist a lot: aim for 200+ Accuracy on your debuffers, and more is better.
  • Speed. Support and buff strippers must move before your damage dealers, or the combo falls apart.
  • Waves. Strip buffs before the enemy puts up Shields and Immunity, otherwise your damage goes nowhere.
  • Boss. Poisons and HP-percentage damage are more reliable than a pure nuke: the boss is fat, your skill cooldowns are not.
  • Rewards. Stars add up across all crypts, milestone rewards hand out resources, and collecting the maximum number of stars grants Lydia The Deathsiren — so there is a reason to clear other factions too.

Gear and masteries

  • Debuffers: Speed and Accuracy sets (Speed + Accuracy/Perception), and prioritise Accuracy and Speed on the substats.
  • Damage dealers: Speed, Crit Rate and Crit Damage; damage-boosting sets pay off on the boss.
  • Tank and healer: HP, Defence and Resistance — they don't need damage, they need to survive.
  • Masteries: Support tree with Accuracy for debuffers, Defence for tanks, boss-damage masteries (Warmaster / Giant Slayer) for damage dealers.

Summary

The Dark Elves are a faction you can genuinely clear without mythicals or lucky pulls: build five slots by role, push Accuracy and Speed, and put buff stripping before damage. Mithrala Lifebane, Lydia The Deathsiren and Madame Serris cover the hardest mechanics, and the rest is gear and patience.
