Abyssal — guide
Guide: Abyssal
In short
Abyssal is a Rare Spirit Support from the Demons faction: a healer restoring 15% of each ally's max HP, a one-button source of DEF Up 30% and ATK Up 25% for the whole team, and an A1 that hits every enemy with a chance to land Block Buffs. He performs best in Hydra and Faction Wars, but the site's verdict is vault/fusion material — build him only if you need a Demons FW healer.
Strengths
- The only Rare healer in Demons — fills a genuine gap in Faction Wars.
- Guardians of Madness hands the entire team DEF Up 30% and ATK Up 25% for 2 turns from a single cast.
- A1 hits all enemies and has a 15% chance to place Block Buffs — relevant against Hydra and buff-heavy waves.
- The heal scales off max HP, so a tanky build also boosts his healing output.
- 16% SPD aura in Faction Crypts.
Weaknesses
- Thin base stats: 95 SPD, 991 DEF, 815 ATK.
- Long cooldowns: 6 turns on A3 and 4 turns on A2 before books.
- No innate ACC and only a 15% chance — Block Buffs will rarely land without investment.
- Damage is ATK-based at 2.8x with 815 ATK, so it is effectively negligible.
- Rated 1.0 in Clan Boss and Chimera.
Where to use
Hydra first (3.0): Block Buffs denial plus a full stack of team buffs. Next, Faction Wars (2.5) — the SPD aura and heal for Demons. Arena, Dungeons and Doom Tower (2.0) only as a budget buffer early on. He is also a fine Campaign pick on Hard 2-4 for levelling Rare Spirit champions. Skip Clan Boss and Chimera entirely.
Stats and gear
Priority: SPD → HP% → DEF% → ACC. Rough targets: 170–200 SPD, 40–50k HP, 2000+ DEF, and 100–150 ACC if you actually want Block Buffs to stick in Hydra. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG. Sets: Speed, Immortal, and Perception if you are short on accuracy. From the relic list, Gilded Dragonstone and Orb of Transfixion.
Masteries and blessings
Support tree: Invigorated, Strengthening Will and Targetfinder — survivability, resistance and the accuracy needed for his debuff. Round it out with standard defensive picks in the second tree. For blessings, take something survivability/regen-oriented if you genuinely field him in Crypts.
Tomes
If you keep him for Crypts, book Guardians of Madness first: the two cooldown levels cut it from 6 turns to 4, the biggest gain available. Then Pugna (4 → 3 turns). If he is going into a fusion, spend no tomes at all.
Verdict
Vault — fusion material. Keep one copy only if Demons Faction Wars has no healer; otherwise he is food.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.

SPD Aura in Faction Crypts by 16%
Abyssal Raid Shadow Legends is a Rare Support hero of the green Spirit affinity from the Demonspawn faction with a SPD aura in Faction Crypts. Abyssal took part in the fusion for Astralon. Have you ever imagined a demon healer? Well, here he is. A true demonic shaman and healer of unholy creatures. On top of all that, he can grant the team DEF and ATK buffs and apply Block Buffs to enemies, thanks to which the team will be significantly more resistant against the enemy's damage dealers.
