Guide: Daywalker

In short

Daywalker is a Rare Dark-affinity champion with the HP role, but the stats don't back it up: only 16,515 HP at 6★ while all of his damage scales from ATK (925). His one usable spot is Clan Boss (3.5/5), thanks to his revive passive and the team shield. The site author's verdict is blunt: fodder — don't invest.

Strengths

  • Passive: when he dies he revives at 30% HP and hits all enemies — free AoE damage in long fights like Clan Boss (ATK-based).
  • A2: gives all allies a 25% Shield for 2 turns, gives himself Block Debuffs for 2 turns, and cleanses all debuffs from himself.
  • Aura: +21% C.RATE to allies in Arena — a cheap early-game bonus.
  • A1 lands a second hit if the target has more HP than he does, so he chips away at beefy targets.

Weaknesses

  • HP role with 16,515 HP is not tanky, and ATK-based damage off a 925 base is not damage either.
  • 91 SPD and long cooldowns.
  • Low ratings almost everywhere: Dungeons 1.0, Hydra 1.0, Hard 1.0, Chimera 1.5, Doom Tower 1.5.
  • His cleanse only works on himself, never on the team.

Where to use

Clan Boss first (3.5/5) — the passive adds damage after he dies and the shield covers the squad. Then Faction Wars (2.5/5) as filler in his faction's team. In Arena (2.0/5) he's only there for the C.RATE aura, and only very early. Skip him for Hydra (1.0), Dungeons (1.0), Hard mode (1.0), Chimera (1.5) and Doom Tower (1.5).

Stats and gear

Priority: SPD > HP% ≈ DEF% > ATK%. No ACC needed — he brings no debuffs. Rough early targets: 170–190 SPD, 40k+ HP, 2k+ DEF. C.RATE and C.DMG are not worth building.

  • Sets: Speed, Life, Immortal — he has to survive long enough for the passive to trigger.
  • From the build list: Malefic Talon relic.

Masteries and blessings

The build list only names Pierce Defenses, i.e. a damage pick from the Offense tree. If you do scroll him, finish Offense and add a bit of Support for survival and shield uptime. Full scrolls on him are wasted. No blessing is listed — a Rare of this level doesn't get one.

Tombs

The only upgrade that matters is the A2 cooldown reduction (shield and self-cleanse come back faster). Tomes are scarce, though, and fodder doesn't deserve them — give them to a champion who actually stays in your teams.

Verdict

Fodder. Maybe a very early Clan Boss filler for the shield and the passive, but gearing and booking him properly is a waste of gear and tomes.
