Gator — guide
Guide: Gator
In short
Gator is a Rare Support champion of the Lizardmen faction with Magic affinity. His job is keeping 25% Increase ATK on the team, cleansing all debuffs and landing Heal Reduction on enemies, plus a +22% C.RATE aura for Magic allies. Build him for Speed and survivability — damage is not his lane.
Strengths
- Hysteria grants allies 25% Increase ATK for 2 turns — a solid opener for your damage dealers.
- Disobedience removes all debuffs from all allies, which is a full cleanse on a Rare.
- Magic Strike has a 30% chance to place 50% Heal Reduction for 2 turns — it cuts boss and tank healing.
- The aura gives Magic allies +22% C.RATE in all battles, which is very handy for Faction Wars.
- Both key skills gain -1 Cooldown from tomes, so the rotation tightens up nicely after booking.
Weaknesses
- 99 base Speed is low; without Speed gear he simply never gets to act.
- No shield, no heal, no revive — he is a weak solo support for a team.
- His A1 damage scales from ATK, which you will never build — he hits for almost nothing.
- Content ratings are low across the board: near-useless in Hydra and on high difficulties.
Where to use
His best home is Lizardmen Faction Wars (2.5/5), where the cleanse and the C.RATE aura actually solve problems. Everywhere else he is average at 2/5 — Clan Boss, Arena, Dungeons, Doom Tower and Chimera — usable as a second support when you lack debuff removal or an ATK buff. Skip him in Hydra and Hard mode (1/5).
Stats and gear
Priority: Speed → HP/DEF → Accuracy. Rough targets: 170–200 Speed (200+ with a Speed set), 30–40k HP, 1.5–2k DEF, and 150–200 Accuracy only if you want the A1 Heal Reduction to land reliably. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG — his damage is ATK-based and his ATK is 881.
Sets: Speed as the base, paired with Life or Immortal for bulk, or Defense if the team is already tanky. Add Perception or Accuracy if you rely on Heal Reduction. Relics listed for him: Orb of Transfixion and Exuzar’s Totem.
Masteries and blessings
Go down the Support tree with the listed picks: Invigorated, Targetfinder, Speedy Willpower and Damage Mitigation. The idea is to cycle his skills faster and keep himself alive rather than boosting allies. There is no blessing list for him — blessings are not a priority here, use a defensive or utility one if you happen to have it.
Tombs
Book Disobedience first (its -1 Cooldown at level 2) — more frequent cleansing is his biggest gain. Then Hysteria, also for the -1 Cooldown so the Increase ATK has almost no downtime. Leave Magic Strike for last: only damage and debuff chance there, and you are not building damage.
Verdict
The site author’s verdict is vault (fusion). Only invest in him for Faction Wars or if you have nothing else for cleanse plus Increase ATK.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
