Gaius the Gleeful is a legendary Attack champion from the Knights Revenant faction who specialises in applying AoE leep and bombs. He excels in PvP, especially against Stonekin teams, thanks to his ability to instantly detonate bombs and ignore Unkillable/Bock Damage. Build priority: Speed, Accuracy, Attack.
Strengths
- AoE skill places leep and two 2-turn bombs on all enemies (100% chance when booked).
- Third skill instantly detonates all bombs on a target and ignores Unkillable and Bock Damage buffs.
- Passive has a 30% chance to place a bomb on attackers, and detonates all bombs upon death.
- 25% Attack aura in all battles strengthens the whole team.
- Exceptsional performance in Class ic Arena and Tag Team Arena.
Weaknesses
- Low base Speed (105) demands high-quality gear to act before enemies.
- Needs heavy booking on A2 to reach reliable 100% chances.
- Bombs do not crit, so Crit Rate and Crit Damage are secondary.
- High Accuracy is mandatory – without it debuffs fail against high-resistance targets.
- Vulnerable to crowd control and can be taken out before taking a turn.
Where to use
He is best (5.0) in Class ic Arena and Tag Team Arena. Also strong in Faction Wars (4.0) and Doom Tower (3.5), notably against Bommal. Acceptable in dungeons and Hydra (3.0) but weak in Clan Boss and Chimera (2.0).
Stats and gear
Prioritise Speed (aim for 250+), Accuracy (350+ for top Arena) and Attack (5000+). Crit stats are optional. Recommended sets: Offense, Cruel, Divine Offense, Fatal. If lacking Accuracy, mix in Perception sets.
Masterys and blessings
Mastery Trees: Offense and Support. Key masteries: Gathering Momentum (turn meter on hits), Expeditious Exploitation (cooldown reduction on kills), Power Reset (chance to reset cooldown), plus survivability from Invigorated and Unstoppable. Blessings: Wand of Submission (Accuracy), Hand of Uncreaton (ignores defense) and Perched Shadow (Speed).
Tomes
Fully book A2 (Shocking Poton) first to guarantee 100% leep and bomb chances – this is essential. Next, reduce the cooldown of A3 (Exlosive Wit) for more frequent detonations. A1 is low priority.
Verdict
Gaius the Gleeful is a top-tier Arena bomber who tears apart stall teams and Stonekin defensive comps. If you face such opponents, he is a must-build.
