In short
Templar is a Rare Defense champion from the Sacred Order with Spirit affinity: a tank that soaks damage through DEF, lands Provoke and Block Damage on himself, and hits back with his passive when enemies pile debuffs on him. He only really shows up in Faction Wars and early Arena — otherwise he is a vault hero and fusion material. Don't over-invest: give him DEF and Speed and move on.
Strengths
- A1 and A2 damage scales off Defense, so the tank actually hits while he holds the line.
- A2 "Mockery": 4 hits on random targets, 25% chance each to place Provoke, plus Block Damage on himself for 1 turn — a decent trade early on and in Faction Wars.
- Passive "Contempt" punishes enemies who place debuffs on him — the more debuffs, the harder the hit back.
- Aura: +50 Resistance to allies in Arena — small but free.
- Rare rarity means easy to book and friendly for new accounts.
Weaknesses
- Weak base stats: 15,855 HP, 1,090 DEF, 92 Speed — slow and not as bulky as a tank should be.
- Unreliable chances: 30% for Decrease SPD on A1, 25% per hit on the Provoke in A2.
- Without high DEF his damage is laughable, and in Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons and Hard mode he brings almost nothing.
- Provoke lasts only 1 turn and Block Damage is self-only — he does not protect the team.
Where to use
Best spot is Faction Wars (2.5/5): his Provoke and survivability at least mean something there. Next come Arena (2.0) and Doom Tower (2.0) as a budget provoke tank, and Chimera (2.0) as a filler. In Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons and Hard content (1.0 each) he simply doesn't perform — don't waste a slot.
Stats and gear
Priority: DEF → SPD → ACC. Rough targets: DEF 2,500–3,000+, Speed 170–200 (enough for Faction Wars), Accuracy 150–200 if you want reliable Provoke and Decrease SPD in Arena or Doom Tower. C.RATE and C.DMG are secondary — don't chase them. From the recommended sets, go Defense (2-piece), Speed and Lifesteal.
Masteries and blessings
Offense tree: take In For The Kill from the recommended list, then fill out the Defense tree with tank masteries for survivability and damage reduction. Relic: Molten Deathbell. Blessings are not a priority — he is not an endgame champion, so if you must, pick something defensive.
Tombs
Book A2 "Mockery" first: level 6 brings cooldown −1 and the Provoke chance climbs along the way (+25% total). Booking A1 is close to pointless — it only adds damage and the Decrease SPD chance. The passive cannot be booked.
Verdict
Vault (fusion). Level him only for Faction Wars or as fusion fodder — he does not belong in serious teams.

Raid Shadow Legends Templar – is a hero from the Telerian League alliance of The Sacred Order faction. His main role in the team is Defense. This "tank" is able to withstand damage, apply Provoke, and his attack is also increased if he has debuffs on himself. Sets for defense, lifesteal, and speed will suit him.
