Swordsman — guide
Guide: Swordsman
In short
Swordsman is an Uncommon Attack champion from the Sacred Order with Force affinity. He is a starter filler: a two-hit A1 and Battle Cry, where he attacks together with a random ally. The site author's verdict is blunt — vault him (fusion material) — so he is not worth investing in.
Strengths
- His A1 lands two separate hits, which counts for hit-based checks.
- Battle Cry pulls a free basic attack out of one random ally.
- Force affinity: no weak hits into Magic, bonus damage into Spirit.
- Uncommon: cheapest tier to level, easy to fully book his skills.
- Fills an empty slot in Sacred Order Faction Wars.
Weaknesses
- Low base stats even for an Uncommon: 1123 ATK, 92 SPD, 804 DEF — he will not move early.
- No debuffs and no buffs: he brings nothing but damage.
- The ally on Battle Cry is random, so you cannot control the follow-up.
- Ratings of 0.5 in Arena, Hydra, Chimera and Doom Tower — he just occupies a slot there.
Where to use
His best score is still low: 2.0 for Clan Boss, where hit volume matters and Battle Cry adds an extra hit. Faction Wars sits at 1.5 — pure filler for Sacred Order. Dungeons and hard content are 1.0, while Arena, Hydra, Doom Tower and Chimera are 0.5; Arena only makes sense in the first days of a fresh account (which is what the author's Faction Wars and Arena notes point at).
Stats and gear
If you use him for Faction Wars anyway: aim for 150–170 SPD, 70–100% C.RATE, 2000+ ATK, then stack HP and DEF so he survives to his turn. ACC is pointless — he has no debuffs. Sets: Attack, Speed, Critical Rate (swap in Critical Damage once crit rate is capped).
Masteries and blessings
Go down the Offense tree to the final mastery — Warmaster for boss fights or Helmsmasher — picking up Deadly Precision, Whirlwind of Death and Single Out on the way. Second tree: Defense, so he does not fold to one hit. Blessings: Phantom Touch for extra damage or Cruelty, but on an Uncommon this is wasted resources; only slot one if you have nothing else to spend on.
Tomes
The only upgrade that actually changes anything is the last level of Battle Cry, which cuts its cooldown by 1. Do not spend tomes on him: even fully booked he does not solve anything.
Verdict
Swordsman is fusion fodder and an early Faction Wars body. Building him is a waste of resources with zero return.
