Hollow — guide
Guide: Hollow
In short
Hollow is a Rare Attack champion from the Undead Hordes with Void affinity. He will not set the world on fire: his real upsides are a +21% Attack aura in Dungeons and a multi-hit A2 with turn-meter manipulation. If you do build him, prioritise Attack and Crit Rate — but do not pour long-term resources into him.
Strengths
- +21% Attack aura for allies in Dungeons — handy for early farming and budget teams.
- Devouring Darkness hits 4 times: each hit reduces the target's Turn Meter and fills his own by 5%, giving decent tempo control against waves and bosses.
- Ether Strike ignores 25% of enemy DEF — solid penetration for a Rare against armoured targets.
- Void affinity: no weak hits, so his damage is consistent everywhere.
- Rare books and low investment requirements make him quick to set up early.
Weaknesses
- Low base stats at 6★: 1,299 Attack, 89 Speed, 13,050 HP and 859 DEF — he neither hits hard nor survives long.
- The A1 poison is only a 10% chance for 2.5% per turn, which is unreliable as Clan Boss damage.
- No buffs and no real debuffs beyond a random poison, plus no survivability built in.
- He hits a ceiling fast: nearly useless in Hydra, Chimera and Hard mode.
Where to use
His best ratings are Dungeons (2/5), Clan Boss (2/5) and Faction Wars (2/5). In Dungeons his value is mainly the aura and the multi-hit; in Clan Boss he is a cheap early poison filler; in Faction Wars you use him only because the Undead Hordes lack better options. In Doom Tower (1.5), Arena (1.5) and Chimera (1.5) he is below average, and in Hydra and Hard mode (1/5) he is dead weight — his multi-hit does not make up for the lack of damage and survivability.
Stats and gear
Priority: Attack → Crit Rate to 100% → Crit Damage → Speed. Rough targets: Attack 2,500–3,000, Crit Rate 100%, Crit Damage 150%+, Speed 150–170. Accuracy is barely worth building — the A1 poison is too rare to sacrifice damage for it. Use Attack and Crit Rate sets, filling gaps with Speed for tempo. Do not try to make him a tank: his HP and DEF bases are too low.
Masteries and blessings
Take the Attack tree down to Pierce Defenses as your main path; after that grab Attack and Crit Damage nodes, then spend the rest in Defence or Support for survivability. For Clan Boss, the multi-hit damage mastery makes sense because A2 hits 4 times. His relic is Malefic Talon. Blessings are not a priority on a Rare — take the first useful damage or survivability option.
Tombs
If you insist on using him, book the Devouring Darkness cooldown first (level 5) — it is his main skill — then the Ether Strike cooldown. But do not waste books on food: the resource is too expensive.
Verdict
Hollow is food. The most he offers is a Dungeon aura and a multi-hit for the very early game; he is not worth serious resources.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
