Stalwart — guide
Guide: Stalwart
In short
Stalwart is an Uncommon HP-role champion from the Banner Lords with Magic affinity. His whole kit is two 25% debuffs: Block Active Skills on his A1 and Stun on his two-hit A2. Build priority is simple — if you have nothing else for Faction Wars, stack Speed and Accuracy; otherwise he is food.
Strengths
- The A2 hits twice, which works well with on-hit masteries and effects (Giant Slayer, Phantom Touch).
- Two different control debuffs: Block Active Skills and Stun can occasionally disrupt a wave's cast.
- HP role: 18,000 base HP at 6★ gives him a survivability cushion in HP gear.
- Magic affinity lines up nicely against Force enemies in early dungeons and the Doom Tower.
Weaknesses
- Only a 25% chance on both debuffs and no innate Accuracy — they almost never land.
- 87 Speed is very slow, so his turns are rare and the debuffs come too late.
- No passive, no team buffs, no AoE damage.
- Ratings of 0.5–1.5: near useless in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera and Doom Tower.
Where to use
His best (still weak) areas are Faction Wars (1.5) as a body to fill a roster and very early Arena (1.5), though the author explicitly does not recommend him for PVP. Dungeons and hard modes sit at 1.0, meaning filler only. Worst of all are Clan Boss (0.5) and Doom Tower (0.5) — he has no place there.
Stats and gear
Priority: HP% → SPD → ACC. Targets for Faction Wars: 40–50k HP, 170–200 Speed, 150–200 Accuracy, otherwise the debuffs won't stick. Sets: Speed, Accuracy, Life or Immortal, Perception. Don't spend good artifacts or glyphs on him.
Masteries and blessings
Only take the PVE tree (Dungeons, Clan Boss, Doom Tower, Faction Wars): Offense — Giant Slayer (the A2 hits twice) and Deadly Precision; Support — Pinpoint Accuracy and Cycle of Magic; Defense — Tough Skin. Skip the PVP tree, he isn't an Arena champion. For blessings take the cheapest option, e.g. Phantom Touch or Cruelty — no real investment.
Tombs
Almost every skill upgrade is pure damage, and only level 4 of the A2 adds +5% debuff chance (25% → 30%). Tomes are scarce, so don't book food. If you keep him for Faction Wars, book the A2 to level 4 first and leave the A1 alone.
Verdict
Food. Only worth keeping at the very start of the account to fill a Faction Wars team.
