Outlaw — guide
Guide: Outlaw
In short
Outlaw is a Common Attack champion from the Banner Lords with a single active skill: a single-target hit that can place a 30% Decrease DEF debuff for 1 turn. He never rises above 1.5 out of 5 anywhere, and the site author's verdict is blunt: food. He needs no build — level him only as material to rank up real champions.
Strengths
- Carries a genuinely useful debuff — 30% Decrease DEF — that raises the whole team's damage against that target.
- With books the debuff chance goes from 75% to 95% (skill levels 3, 5 and 7).
- Spirit affinity: strong against Force, so early Force-heavy stages don't punish his damage.
- Cheap to level and can plug an empty slot in Banner Lords Faction Wars right at the start.
Weaknesses
- One skill, one target: apart from the debuff there is no utility at all — no buffs, no AoE, no control.
- Base ATK is only 980, so he deals no meaningful damage even in good gear.
- Rated 0.5 in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Hard mode and Doom Tower — he does not survive serious content.
- Occupies a slot that a real champion should be holding.
Where to use
At most, Banner Lords Faction Wars (1.5/5) as a filler until you have proper faction members — the debuff on the Faction Wars boss can genuinely help. Beyond that, only the earliest dungeons and Arena (1.0 each), and only on the first stages. Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Hard mode and Doom Tower are all 0.5 — don't bring him.
Stats and gear
The author gives no set list, which makes sense: there is no reason to invest in Outlaw. If you truly need him in Faction Wars, aim for SPD 170–200 and ACC 130–150 for early stages, with the rest into HP and DEF so he survives to take his turn. Generic fallback: Speed and Perception sets. Don't spend silver re-rolling his gear.
Masteries and blessings
No recommendations from the author. Mastery scrolls are a scarce resource and handing them to a Common champion with one skill is pointless — real champions need them. Blessings are equally unnecessary; save the souls.
Tombs
He has only one skill, and the only thing worth booking in it is the debuff chance (levels 3, 5 and 7): 75% → 95%. But never spend Epic or Legendary Tomes — a Common champion is booked with duplicate copies, so his upgrades are effectively free. Only bother if you genuinely keep him in Faction Wars.
Verdict
Food. Feed him to rank up real champions and spend no gear, masteries or Tomes on him.
