Goremask — guide
Guide: Goremask
In short
Goremask is a Rare Orc Attack champion of the Force affinity whose entire kit is about dealing damage. His third skill ignores Shield and Block Damage, which sounds nice on paper, but with 1,509 base Attack and a 1.5/5 overall rating he does not carry any serious content. Build him only for Orcs Faction Wars or if a fusion demands him.
Strengths
- Crushing Jaws ignores Shield and Block Damage — rare utility for a Rare.
- The default skill hits twice, which means extra proc hits from blessings and lifesteal.
- Choking Grasp adds +20% damage on a critical hit — decent with 100% Crit Rate.
- Aura gives allies +25% HP in Arena — at least something for the team.
Weaknesses
- Terrible base stats: 1,509 Attack and 705 Defense means he neither hits hard nor survives.
- No debuffs, no buffs, no utility — pure damage numbers only.
- 98 Speed makes him slow, so he constantly loses turns.
- The aura only works in Arena and only on HP, so it does nothing for his damage.
Where to use
His best home is Faction Wars for the Orcs (2.0), where he clears waves as a plain damage dealer. In Chimera (2.0) he is at best a filler for an empty slot. Everything else — Clan Boss, Hydra, Arena, Dungeons, Hard mode, Doom Tower — sits at 1.0, and that is a fair grade: he brings nothing to Clan Boss, he dies to the first Arena volley, and in dungeons he offers neither control nor survivability.
Stats and gear
Priority: ATK% → Crit Rate up to 100% → Crit Damage → Speed. Accuracy is pointless here because he has no debuffs. Rough targets for a Rare: 2,500–3,000+ Attack, 100% Crit Rate, 150%+ Crit Damage, 150–170 Speed. Sets from the list: Offense and Critical Rate as the base, then Crit Damage, Savage, Cruel or Divine Offense / Divine Critical. Relic: Malefic Talon to push his damage ceiling a little higher.
Masteries and blessings
Go down the Attack tree first: Pierce Defenses, then the standard damage picks (Heart of Glory, Whirlwind of Death, Flawless Execution). Second tree should be Defense or Support for survivability, because 705 Defense gets him killed fast. Blessing: Phantom touch — an extra hit on every attack, and with a double-hitting default skill that is where it pays off most.
Tombs
Book the third skill first: two of its levels cut the cooldown, turning Crushing Jaws from a gimmick into a real tool. Then Choking Grasp for the single cooldown reduction. Leave the default skill alone if tomes are scarce.
Verdict
Vault (fusion). Keep him for Orcs Faction Wars; everywhere else he is a champion you can safely strip.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
