Basilisk — guide
Guide: Basilisk
In short
Basilisk is an Epic Attack champion from the Lizardmen faction with Force affinity. His profile is narrow: Arena defense teams and the Lizardmen Crypt, where he brings AoE damage, a stun and a self-revive all at once. He is worth building, but as a specialist rather than a universal damage dealer — gear priority goes to crit and speed, not raw bulk.
Strengths
- His A1 hits all enemies and, on a crit, puts 25% Increase ATK on himself for 2 turns — in longer fights the buff practically never drops.
- His A2 is a single-target hit that places a 1-turn Stun: the simplest way to switch off a key champion in Arena.
- Passive: on death he revives with 30% HP and immediately gains Block Damage for 1 turn — effectively a second life, which is exactly why he suits a defense pack.
- Force affinity gives him an edge against Magic-heavy teams.
Weaknesses
- Low bases: 1,365 ATK and 903 DEF at 6★ — he will never be a real nuker.
- 99 SPD is slow; without Speed sets and a booster he moves last.
- Almost useless in Clan Boss (1.0) and Hydra (1.5): no poisons, no HP burn, no support, and one stun changes nothing there.
- The revive passive sits on an 8-turn cooldown — it fires once or twice per fight.
Where to use
Home is the Lizardmen Crypt (FW 2.5), where he deals damage, controls and covers the team with the revive. Arena (2.5) — on defense, where the stun and the second life frustrate attackers. Chimera, dungeons, Hard mode and Doom Tower (2.0) only as a filler slot. Clan Boss and Hydra are not his content — don't drag him there.
Stats and gear
Priority: C.RATE to 100% (C.RATE gloves), SPD around 170–200+, ATK% boots, C.DMG amulet. The author's build: RES chest and RES banner for the defense pack, HP ring. ACC is not part of the base build — add some if you want the stun to land reliably. Sets: Offense, Speed, Stun — Stun works well here because the A1 is AoE and crits come often.
Masteries and blessings
Key picks from the build: Pierce Defenses (Offense tree) to offset the low ATK base, plus Invigorated and Targetfinder. Fill the rest for damage and survivability. Relics: Malefic Talon, Orb of Transfixion. Blessings are not specified in the build — choose by role: survivability for Arena defense, damage for Faction Wars.
Tombs
Book the A2 first: level 5 of the books gives -1 cooldown, meaning more stuns — that's the main gain. The passive only gets cooldown cuts and the A1 only extra damage, so leave the A1 for last.
Verdict
The author's verdict is build him: as a narrow tool for the Lizardmen Crypt and Arena defense he does his job. Pulling him into Clan Boss or Hydra makes no sense.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
