Renouncer — guide
Guide: Renouncer
In short
Renouncer is a Rare Attack champion from the Sacred Order with Force affinity. His only real team contribution is the +15% SPD buff from his third skill, and only when the hit actually kills. That makes him a filler pick in early Arena and Faction Wars and nothing beyond it — the site verdict is blunt: fodder. Don't invest in him.
Strengths
- A1 Double Empowerment hits twice, so on-hit gear effects get two proc chances per turn.
- A2 Shining Sword strips a random debuff from himself before attacking and heals for 25% of the damage dealt — a bit of self-sufficiency.
- A3 Warrior's Mercy grants the whole team +15% SPD for 2 turns on a kill — the one genuinely useful thing in his kit.
- Decent HP for a Rare (12 885) — he survives slightly better than glass-cannon rares.
Weaknesses
- Low base ATK (1 255) and SPD (97) — he simply doesn't scale as a damage dealer.
- 15% C.RATE and 57% C.DMG base — every point of crit has to come from gear.
- A3 pays off only on a kill; against tanky targets the speed buff never appears.
- No debuffs, no control, no support — useless in Clan Boss, Hydra and Chimera (0.5–1.0).
Where to use
Arena (2.5/5) is his ceiling: early Force matchups and finishing wounded targets so the team gets the speed buff. Next comes Faction Wars (2.0) as a warm body while your roster is thin. Dungeons, Hard mode, Doom Tower, Clan Boss and Hydra sit at 1.0 or below — he brings nothing there. Chimera (0.5): don't bring him at all.
Stats and gear
If you have to fill a slot: ATK as the main stat, C.RATE close to 100%, C.DMG 120–150%+, SPD 150–170. No ACC is needed — he lands no debuffs — and leftover RES/DEF can go wherever it fits. There's no dedicated set list for him and it isn't worth farming: hand him spare ATK%, C.RATE and C.DMG pieces. Relic from the build list: Malefic Talon.
Masteries and blessings
The build list only names Pierce Defenses; everything else would come from the Attack tree (damage and crit nodes). Spending scrolls on fodder is a waste, though. Blessings — skip entirely and save them for champions you actually play.
Tomes
A full upgrade costs 15 Rare Tomes, which is far too expensive for this champion. If you insist: book A3 Warrior's Mercy first (levels 5 and 6 cut two turns of cooldown, so the SPD buff comes around more often), then A2 Shining Sword (-1 cooldown at level 7). A1 books last, damage only.
Verdict
Fodder. Keep one for early Faction Wars if you're short on bodies, and put every tome, scroll and gear piece into someone else.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
