On the seventh of September 2023, RAID: Shadow Legends received update 7.50 — a patch that changed the very top of the champion collection. A new rarity arrived above Legendary, together with a new type of shard.
What's new
- The Mythical rarity has been added and sits above Legendary.

What it means for players
Until now Legendary was the ceiling of the collection, and most rosters were built around Legendary champions. Update 7.50 puts a new tier above them. The Metamorph ability is what makes Mythical champions stand out: a single champion effectively brings two forms and two sets of tools to a fight, which means more flexibility when you are putting a team together for a specific piece of content.
For PvP players and anyone pushing the hardest content, Mythical champions are a new long-term goal and a reason to rethink familiar team setups. Beginners should not rush it, though — this is a distant target, not a quick upgrade, and starting with solid basic champions is still the smarter path. Primal Shards and Primal Quartz are simply one more resource to keep an eye on if you are chasing what is new.
