On April 2, 2025, RAID: Shadow Legends received update 10.40. It is not the largest patch of the year, but it touches several systems players meet every day: artifact crafting, gear, Siege and the balance of one boss. Here is a short breakdown of what changed.
What's new
- Artifact Quick Craft. Artifact crafting gets an accelerated mode, so the routine part of turning materials into gear takes fewer clicks and less time.
- Gear Ascension Tournament. A dedicated tournament built around gear ascension has been added.
- Siege draw condition change. The rules that decide when a Siege battle is recorded as a draw have been revised.
- Relic lore. Lore text for relics has been added to the game.
- Seven new champions. Update 10.40 adds seven new champions to the roster.
- Ash'Nar Dragonsoul rebalance. The Ash'Nar Dragonsoul encounter has received a balance pass.
What it means for players
Artifact Quick Craft is the change most players will feel day to day. If you craft often, the accelerated mode saves time: the routine part gets shorter and the outcome stays the same. It also helps beginners put together their first working sets without getting stuck in menus.
The Gear Ascension Tournament gives another reason to invest in ascension and suits players who are steadily building up their gear. The revised Siege draw conditions matter most to clans that take the mode seriously. Relic lore is aimed at players who enjoy the world's story, while the seven new champions and the Ash'Nar Dragonsoul rebalance will interest PvP players and boss hunters first of all.
