Update 5.20: Super Raids in the Doom Tower and Gold V in the Arena

On 10 February 2022, RAID: Shadow Legends received update 5.20. It was a packed patch: Super Raids in the Doom Tower, a new Gold V tier in Classic Arena, 12 new champions, plus Tavern filters and expanded Saved Teams.

What's new

  • Super Raids in the Doom Tower — a faster way through the tower for players who already know its floors.
  • Gold V in Classic Arena — a new tier above Gold, giving strong PvP teams somewhere to climb.
  • 12 new champions — fresh additions to the roster, useful in both PvE and arena.
  • Tavern filters — easier searching through a large champion collection.
  • Expanded Saved Teams — more ready-made line-ups for different modes.

What it means for players

The headline change is competitive. The new Gold V tier in Classic Arena gives strong players room to keep climbing: the ceiling used to be lower, and now there is another step where teams can be tested on builds, speed and gear. If PvP is your main focus, this is a good moment to rebuild your team around the current meta and rethink your defence.

The rest is about convenience and progress. Tavern filters and expanded Saved Teams simply save time — fewer clicks before a fight and faster line-up building for each mode. Super Raids in the Doom Tower mean you no longer have to spend whole evenings re-clearing floors you already know, and 12 new champions give both beginners and veterans more options to work with.
