On May 9, 2024, RAID: Shadow Legends received Update 8.50 — a patch that cleans up the screens players use every day: the Tavern was overhauled, Epic champions gained Empowerment and clan management got a new role.
What's new
- Tavern overhaul with Instant Upgrade and Instant Rank Up — level up and rank up champions without jumping between screens.
- A champion filter in the Tavern to find the right champion in your roster faster.
- Epic champion Empowerment — Epic champions can now be Empowered.
- Redesigned News window.
- New clan role: Lieutenant.
What it means for players
The main win is time. Instant Upgrade and Instant Rank Up cut the busywork out of levelling, and the champion filter saves you from scrolling through a long roster. Beginners can get a first working team together faster, while veteran players spend less effort on bulk levelling for the next event.
Epic Empowerment matters most for those who play PvP and Faction Wars: Epics are the most accessible middle tier of any roster, and Empowerment makes them more competitive next to Legendaries. The new Lieutenant role will be useful for active clans — splitting duties inside the clan becomes easier.
