Update 7.70: More Room for Champions, Artifacts and Souls

On the ninth of November 2023, RAID: Shadow Legends received update 7.70, with patch 7.70.5 landing alongside it. The headline is inventory space: three separate storages were expanded, and the rewards in Live Arena and Hydra Clash were revisited.

What's new

  • Reserve Vault — expanded capacity, giving champions outside your active roster more room.
  • Artifact Storage — a larger limit for artifacts and relics, so gear kept for future builds no longer hits the cap.
  • Soul Collection — expanded storage for souls, awakening and blessings.
  • Patch 7.70.5 — Primal Quartz added to Live Arena chests.
  • Hydra Clash — reward rebalance in chests.

What it means for players

Storage is the quiet quality-of-life change of this update. Players no longer have to clear out artifacts just to keep playing, and champions who are not in the current lineup can sit in reserve instead of being burned as fodder. Beginners benefit most, since a growing collection is far easier to manage when the vault keeps up, while veterans can hoard gear for future builds and park souls until they are ready to spend them on awakening or a new blessing.

The reward side speaks to different crowds. Primal Quartz in Live Arena chests gives PvP regulars something extra for the time they put into the mode, and the Hydra Clash rebalance mainly lands with clan players who clear that content on a schedule. Either way, it is worth opening your chests after the next session to see what actually changed.
