Faction Wars: Ogryn Tribes — Best Heroes and Tips

Ogryn Tribes look like a faction with an endless roster — right up until you have to field five of them in the Crypt. Half of the good picks are Legendaries you can't properly support, and reliable cleansing is thin on the ground. Below is who to prioritise, how to build around Stage 14 and 21, and the mistakes that quietly burn your Crypt Keys.

What the Ogryn Crypt actually asks of you

Ogryn Tribes is a "meat" faction: high base HP, sturdy tanks, decent crowd control and debuffs. The weak spot is support. There are very few clean cleansers and revivers, so on the upper stages your team usually dies to stacked debuffs — poisons, Decrease DEF and Heal Reduction — rather than to raw damage.

So the rule is simple: lock down survivability and Accuracy first, then add damage. One strong nuker is worth more here than three average ones, because the waves from Stage 15 up simply won't let you trade hits.

Klodd BeastfeederEpic4.0Support and healing

Uugo, Maneater and Klodd are Epics, and that matters: on plenty of accounts they — not the Legendaries — are what finally closes the Crypt. Don't bench them because of rarity.

Three team templates that work

  • Debuff-first. Uugo + one hard-hitting nuker (Klaazag Keyhulk, Khamir Scald-eye and similar) + Drokgul the Gaunt for Shields + Klodd Beastfeeder for healing. Fifth slot goes to extra control or a second nuker.
  • Control-first. Gurgoh the Augur + Uugo + a support + two heroes who finish off waves that never got to act. Great on Stages 15–20, where debuffs pile up fast.
  • Around Maneater. Block Damage buys a window where the team survives a volley and answers. Pair it with real damage and with someone who handles debuffs, or the window is wasted.

The stage route: 1 to 21

A Crypt is 21 stages, with bosses on 7, 14 and 21. The early stages fall to almost any coherent team; the real gear check starts later.

  • 1–6. Warm-up. If your team crawls here, it isn't ready to climb.
  • 7 and 14. Bosses. Stage 14 is usually where you find out whether your Accuracy and sustain are actually enough.
  • 15–20. The nastiest waves: debuffs, Heal Reduction, heavy damage. Cleansing and turn order decide these, not raw damage.
  • 21. The final boss and a long fight. You need debuffs that actually land (Accuracy), staying power, and boss-damage Masteries.

Don't walk into 21 "just to see" — keys are limited and the fight is long. First check that the team reliably reaches the halfway point.

Gear and Masteries

  • Accuracy. Mandatory on everyone who lands debuffs. Upper stages demand noticeably more than campaign content — build a buffer, not the bare minimum.
  • Speed. First priority for supports and debuffers; without it the team never reacts to a wave.
  • HP and DEF. Shields and heals scale off those stats, so don't trade all your survivability for damage.
  • Sets. Perception (Accuracy + Speed) for debuffers, Speed for supports, Immortal or Lifesteal for whoever is taking the hits.
  • Masteries. Warmaster or Giant Slayer on your damage dealers for boss fights; supports go into defensive and support trees, not damage.

Common mistakes

  1. Four nukers and one healer. From Stage 15 that is a guaranteed wipe — the waves act before your heal matters.
  2. Ignoring Accuracy. Debuffs and control simply don't land, and the whole plan collapses.
  3. Legendaries only. Uugo, Maneater and Klodd cover holes that most "all-star" lineups leave open.
  4. Burning keys on experiments. Fix gear and Masteries first, then spend attempts.
  5. No cleansing. If debuffs stay on, healing just delays the loss.

Summary

Ogryn Tribes is cleared by balance, not by the most expensive roster: one or two real damage dealers, AoE Decrease DEF, defensive support, and a serious investment in Accuracy and survivability. Start from the Epics like Uugo and Maneater, add Shields and healing, fix your Accuracy — and Stage 21 stops being a wall. Keys are expensive, so every attempt should be prepared.
