Bergoth the Malformed — guide
Guide: Bergoth the Malformed
In short
Bergoth the Malformed is an Epic HP-based tank/support with an AoE Provoke and a passive that turns the damage he takes into healing for the team. He is a budget Vogoth: not a serious-content pick, but he does his job in Faction Wars and Doom Tower. Build him for survivability and Accuracy, not damage.
Strengths
- AoE Provoke for 2 turns on all enemies — pulls the focus off your team on waves and in long fights.
- His passive heals every ally except himself for 20% of the damage he takes: free healing without spending a turn.
- Both active skills scale off HP, so a tanky build still brings some damage.
- Crits with his A1 have a 50% chance to put a 15% Continuous Heal on himself for 1 turn.
Weaknesses
- Base Provoke chance is only 30% (45% with books) — unreliable until booked.
- Nothing for bosses: no debuffs on the target, no buffs for the team.
- 95 SPD with 15%/50% crit — slow, and no damage dealer by any stretch.
- The passive only heals allies and scales off damage taken, so the tankier he gets, the less he heals; he never heals himself.
Where to use
Best spot is Faction Wars (3.5/5), where his Provoke and passive healing actually carry waves. Next comes Doom Tower, including the Hard rotation (2.5/5), as a wave provoker. Arena, dungeons and Hard mode sit at 2/5 — filler only. Clan Boss and Hydra are 2/5 and Chimera 1/5: leave him out.
Stats and gear
Priority: HP% → SPD → ACC → DEF%. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG.
- Targets: 60k+ HP, 170–200 SPD, 200–250 ACC (Provoke is checked against enemy RES).
- Sets: Immortal + Resilience, or Shield, as the default survivability base.
- Frost and Stun if you want to lean into the passive — more hits on him means more healing for allies.
- Relentless is a stretch; extra turns do little for him.
- Relics: Molten Deathbell, Perched Shadow.
Masteries and blessings
The build lists In For The Kill, Expeditious Exploitation and Gathering Momentum — take those first and fill the rest of the defensive/support side around HP and Accuracy. No blessing is prescribed by the build; a defensive one is fine if you use him long term, but he rarely repays the investment.
Tombs
Book the A2 first: +15% debuff chance and -1 cooldown is where the real gain is. The A1 only adds +5% damage, so tomes there come last.
Verdict
An average Epic with one working idea — an AoE Provoke. Build him for Faction Wars and Doom Tower, otherwise he belongs in the vault.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
