Hound Spawn — guide
Guide: Hound Spawn
In short
Hound Spawn is a Rare Attack champion from the Demons faction with Force affinity. His kit is a 20% Stun on the A1, a double-hitting A2 with a 50% chance to place 60% Decrease DEF, and an AoE A3 that ignores DEF and Damage Block on Frozen targets — but only unlocks if Hellhound is in the team. Ratings sit at 1.0–2.0 across the board, so build him for Faction Wars at most and treat him as food otherwise.
Strengths
- A2 Steel Fangs hits twice and can land 60% Decrease DEF (50% base, up to 75% with tomes) — his one genuinely useful contribution.
- A1 Flaming Breath has a 20% chance to Stun for 1 turn, occasionally stealing a turn from a tank or lead.
- A3 Crushing Blow ignores DEF and Damage Block against Frozen enemies, giving a real damage spike next to a freeze enabler.
- Force affinity gives him an edge against Spirit enemies in Faction Wars stages.
- Cheap to build: Rare tomes and leftover Attack/Crit gear are easy to spare.
Weaknesses
- 1,398 base ATK and 93 SPD are low even for a Rare — he outruns nothing.
- A3 is hard-locked behind Hellhound being in the team, which is rarely worth building around.
- The ignore-DEF clause needs Freeze on the target, and Hound Spawn brings no Freeze himself.
- No team buffs and no utility beyond Decrease DEF; ratings are 1.0 in Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons, Hard and Doom Tower.
Where to use
Per the site ratings his best marks are Arena (2.0) and Demons Faction Wars (1.5); everything else is 1.0, with Chimera at 1.5. In practice that means early Faction Wars stages where any Decrease DEF helps and the very bottom of Arena. He has no place in Clan Boss, Hydra or dungeons — any real damage dealer takes that slot.
Stats and gear
Priority: ATK% → C.RATE to 100% → C.DMG → SPD. Rough targets: ATK 2,500+, C.RATE 100%, C.DMG 120–150%+, SPD 150–170, ACC 100–130 (needed for the Decrease DEF on A2), then HP/DEF with whatever is left. Sets: Attack or Speed as the base, with Crit Damage, Savage or Cruel on top. ATK% gloves, ATK% or C.DMG chest, SPD boots.
Masteries and blessings
Go down the Attack tree; the key pick from the site list is Pierce Defenses, which stacks with his A2 Decrease DEF and partly covers his weak base. Fill the rest with standard damage masteries. Relic: Malefic Talon. Skip blessings — they are too scarce to spend on a champion who ends up as food.
Tomes
If you do build him for Faction Wars, book Steel Fangs first: tomes push the Decrease DEF chance from 50% to 75%, the biggest gain available. Then A3 for the −1 cooldown on the final level, and A1 last. Rare tomes are cheap, but they still have better homes.
Verdict
Food. Outside early Demons Faction Wars and the Hellhound pairing there is nothing here worth investing in.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.

Cerberus is a champion in Raid Shadow Legends from The Corrupted alliance of the Demonspawn faction. His main role in the team is Attack. This champion's attacks stun the enemy and lower their Defense. He has a hidden skill called "Shocking Blow", which only unlocks if there is a Hellhound champion in the team. Attack and C.RATE artifacts suit him.
