Guide: Stranger

In short

Stranger is an Uncommon Attack champion of the Barbarians with Spirit affinity. The only thing going for him is an AoE hit that knocks back enemy turn meters, but the numbers are tiny and his damage doesn't scale. Build priority: none — he's food, worth levelling only if you have literally nothing else to fill a Faction Wars slot.

Strengths

  • His second skill hits all enemies and reduces their turn meters by 30%; at skill level 8 the chance goes up to 70% and the cooldown drops to 3 turns.
  • The A1 hits twice, which means slightly more chances to proc gear effects (Lifesteal, Stun and so on).
  • Uncommon rarity: cheap to level, and early on he can fill slots in Arena and the first dungeons.
  • Can be a warm body in Barbarian Faction Wars if you have no replacement at all.

Weaknesses

  • 1299 base ATK at 6★ — low even for an Uncommon, and his damage doesn't scale.
  • Besides the turn meter reduction he brings no debuffs, no buffs and no survivability: 9255 HP and 837 DEF means he folds to anything.
  • 96 SPD — slow, and he has no base ACC at all, so the turn meter cut will often just hit resistance.
  • Both skills only come online at skill level 8 — far too many books and too much XP for food.

Where to use

At best Barbarian Faction Wars (1.5/5), where he can knock back turn meters on waves if nobody else can. On a starting Arena team (1.0/5) and in the earliest dungeons (1.0/5) he still does some damage to weak enemies. In Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Doom Tower and on higher difficulties (0.5/5) there is nothing for him to do — leave him out.

Stats and gear

If you truly must (say, for Faction Wars): push SPD to roughly 150–170 first, then ACC to 100+ — without accuracy the turn meter reduction simply won't land — and only after that ATK, C.RATE and C.DMG. There is no dedicated build list for him, so use the cheapest pieces you have: Speed or Perception for accuracy, and Lifesteal early on for survival. Don't take him to 6★ and strip the gear off as soon as you can.

Masteries and blessings

Scrolls are wasted on him. If you insist: the Offense tree (Heart of Glory, Deadly Precision, Whirlwind of Death) for AoE damage, and Support (Keen Strike, Charged Focus) for accuracy. Blessings are the same story — at most something for survivability, he isn't worth real investment.

Tomes

Don't spend tomes. If you absolutely have to, book the A2 to level 8 first: that's where the chance jumps to 70% and the cooldown drops to 3 turns, so the skill actually starts working. Honestly though, those tomes belong on any Epic instead.

Verdict

Food. Keep him as XP fodder or a one-off Faction Wars filler — Stranger deserves neither levels, tomes nor gear.
