Wyvernbane — guide
Guide: Wyvernbane
In short
Wyvernbane is a Rare Spirit Attack champion from the Gaellen Pact (Orcs): a light skirmisher whose three skills all hit off ATK and apply debuffs on a chance. He shines early — in dungeons and Orc Faction Wars, where HP Burn and turn meter reduction still matter. Build priority is Speed and Accuracy, and the investment should stay minimal.
Strengths
- “Cursed Spear” has a 75% (up to 90% when booked) chance to place HP Burn for 2 turns — damage scaled to the target's MAX HP.
- “Delay” cuts the target's turn meter by 20%, scaling up to a 50% chance with a 1-turn shorter cooldown.
- The A1 applies a 15% Decrease SPD for 2 turns, with the chance rising from 20% to 30%.
- Being Rare, he's cheap to rank up and easy to fill an Orc-team slot with.
Weaknesses
- Very low base stats: 1,288 ATK and 94 SPD mean little damage and late turns.
- No debuff is guaranteed — everything is chance-based and misses without Accuracy.
- 12,555 HP and 903 DEF make him paper-thin anywhere past early content.
- Rated 1.0 in Hydra, Hard and Doom Tower: he simply doesn't exist for endgame.
Where to use
Best areas are dungeons (2.0) and Orc Faction Wars (2.0) — in Sorath he can act as an HP Burn source with a bit of turn meter control. In Clan Boss (2.0) and Chimera (1.5) he's an early-game filler only, and in Arena (1.5) he's close to dead weight. Avoid Hydra, Hard mode and Doom Tower (1.0) entirely.
Stats and gear
Lead with Speed and Accuracy: around 170–200 SPD and 150–200 ACC for dungeons, otherwise HP Burn and the turn meter cut will keep getting resisted. After that, ATK%, C.RATE toward 100% and C.DMG — though chasing damage on this base is a losing battle.
- Sets: Speed + Perception for SPD and ACC, Accuracy if you're short.
- Savage/Cruel only if you have nothing better — damage is secondary here.
- From the listed build: the Gathering Momentum mastery and the Tempus Sanguinis relic.
Masteries and blessings
The main tree is Offense, where Gathering Momentum from the recommended list sits; fill the rest out for damage. If you're using him purely as a debuffer, the Support tree's Accuracy masteries are more valuable so HP Burn and the turn meter cut actually land. No blessing is listed in the build — correctly so, since fodder doesn't deserve one.
Tombs
Books here are wasted resources. If you absolutely must, finish “Cursed Spear” first (HP Burn chance to 90% plus cooldown), then “Delay” for the −1 cooldown. Realistically, save your books for champions who live in Clan Boss and Hydra.
Verdict
Fodder. Wyvernbane can fill a gap in Orc Faction Wars and early dungeons for a couple of weeks, but pouring Speed gear, Accuracy and books into him is a waste.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
