Drokgul the Gaunt — guide
Guide: Drokgul the Gaunt
In short
Drokgul the Gaunt is a Legendary Spirit Support from the Ogryn Tribes who keeps the team alive with shields scaled off his own HP, a combined Increase ATK / Increase DEF buff, and Block Damage for allies who drop low. Build priority is HP and Speed; Accuracy only matters if you want his stun to land.
Strengths
- Runic Prayer puts a Shield worth 15% of his MAX HP on the whole team for 3 turns, and the passive heals every ally for 15% of his MAX HP whenever that Shield expires, is removed or gets broken — effectively a second health bar for the team.
- Allies counterattack the enemy who breaks their Shield, and the heal triggers before the extra damage is applied.
- Secret Covenant grants 50% Increase ATK and 60% Increase DEF for 2 turns, plus Block Damage for 1 turn on allies below 30% HP.
- HP Aura +25% in all battles — boosts the whole team and his own shield/heal scaling at the same time.
- His A1 hits off HP and has a 20% (40% booked) chance to place a 1-turn Stun.
Weaknesses
- Low base DEF (1,057) and ATK (991): everything depends on HP gear.
- A 15% MAX HP Shield pops fast if his health pool is small, and the whole kit unravels with it.
- No cleanse, no revive, no AoE control — healing-denial bosses cut his value a lot.
- Base SPD 107 is slow; without Speed gear he can't keep Secret Covenant and Runic Prayer up.
Where to use
Faction Wars is his home (4.0) — he covers both survival and buffs for the Ogryns. Clan Boss and Chimera (3.5) suit him well in long fights thanks to shields and Block Damage. Hydra, Arena, dungeons, Doom Tower and Hard mode sit at 3.0: usable everywhere, but other supports usually do those specific jobs better.
Stats and gear
Stack HP — aim for 70k–90k+, since shield, heal and A1 damage all scale from it. SPD 200–230 so the buffs never lapse. ACC 200–250 if you actually rely on the A1 stun in Clan Boss or dungeons; otherwise you can skip it. DEF is a secondary stat, and C.RATE / C.DMG are wasted on him. Sets: Immortal, Speed, Perception, Life — two HP sets plus Speed or Accuracy as needed.
Masteries and blessings
Go Defense and Support trees. From the list: Damage Mitigation, Bolstered Defense, Blessed Heal, Invigorated, Heal 'N' Go, Buff Depletion — a straight survivability and healing package. Relics: Journal of Necrotos, Volcardiac Heart, Perched Shadow.
Tomes
Book Secret Covenant first: its two cooldown levels are the most valuable books in his kit, since the buffs need permanent uptime. Then Runic Prayer up to level 5 for the cooldown reduction. A1 books are only worth it for the +20% stun chance — take them if you use him as a stunner.
Verdict
The site author's call is clear: build him, he's a top legendary and tomes are well spent. A universal shield-and-buff support for Ogryns and long fights, provided you give him HP and Speed.
