Guide: Elegaius

In short

Elegaius is a Legendary Support from the Undead Hordes with the Magic affinity. His standout tool is Ghost Rage — an AoE buff strip plus turn-meter reduction — which makes him a budget Madame Serris for the Arena and Faction Wars. Build him for HP, Speed and Accuracy rather than damage.

Strengths

  • Ghost Rage removes 2 random buffs from all enemies and drops their turn meters by 20% (75% chance, bookable to 100%).
  • All of his attacking skills scale off HP, so a tanky build still hits respectably.
  • High base HP (22,305) means survivability and damage come from the same stat.
  • Rejection keeps him alive at 1 HP, heals 10%, fills 20% turn meter and grants a 30% max-HP Shield.
  • One of the better Undead Hordes supports for Faction Wars (rated 4.0).

Weaknesses

  • Almost useless against Clan Boss (1.0).
  • His passive fails under Heal Reduction, and without it he is a squishy support.
  • Base Speed of 106 is slow for a controller — you must fix it with gear.
  • He brings no Decrease DEF, so he needs a partner to apply it.

Where to use

Best areas are Faction Wars (4.0) and Arena (3.5), where stripping buffs and cutting turn meters actually breaks enemy setups. He is situational in Doom Tower (2.5) and Chimera (2.5), weak in dungeons and Hydra (2.0), and pointless in Clan Boss. The build list highlights Iragoth, where he works as a turn-meter control support.

Stats and gear

Priority: HP% → Speed → Accuracy. Rough targets: 60–80k HP, 200–250+ Speed, 250–350 Accuracy for Arena and high-end content; ignore crit stats since damage comes from HP. Recommended sets from the list: Accuracy, Speed, Divine Speed, Perception — mix them to hit your Speed and Accuracy breakpoints.

Masteries and blessings

Go Support and Defense trees; an alternative Attack path is only a starter/Clan Boss experiment. Key masteries from the list: Invigorated, Expeditious Exploitation, Gathering Momentum, Impede Them, Caught Unaware. Blessings: Brimstone for extra damage pressure, or Temporal Chains if you want more turn-meter control. Relics: Wand of Submission, Temporal Stagnator, Perched Shadow.

Tomes

Book Ghost Rage first — it adds +10% and +15% debuff chance (reaching 100% strip) and cuts 1 turn of cooldown. Book Dead End second for the −1 cooldown so you can reset key enemies' skills more often. Leave the A1 and passive for last.

Verdict

A solid but narrow support: Arena and Faction Wars are his home, everything else is an afterthought. The site author's verdict is blunt — vault (fusion), he is weak.

Legendary Support hero Elegaius from the Undead Hordes faction of the blue Magic affinity. He was introduced to the game at the end of October 2020. He is most suitable for locations such as Arena, Dungeons and Faction Wars thanks to his 3rd mastery Ghost Rage, which removes buffs from all enemies and reduces their Turn Meter. Similar to Madame Serris. Overall, Elegaius has excellent stats: high HP, good SPD for a control hero, which can be developed well. At the same time, you will need to bring another hero who applies Decrease DEF. His second skill Dead End is mainly designed to finish off a key opponent. His passive skill is not good enough, but can work in certain cases.

Which masteries and artifacts should you take on Elegaius?

For gear, it is recommended to build him for maximum HP and control. It all depends on what you want from Elegaius and in which locations you will use him, but he is clearly not the best for farming food in Dungeons. For masteries, the Defense and Support trees are more suitable, but optionally, at the start of the game and against the Clan Boss, you can use the alternative Attack tree. Variants of masteries and artifacts can be seen in the images above or watch the Elegaius video review.
