Guide: Royal Guard

In short

Royal Guard is one of the best epic damage dealers for dungeons and Hydra. His AoE attack "Takedown" decimates high-HP targets, and his aura boosts ally ATK in dungeons. Build and book him fully.

Strengths

  • Hude damage against bosses and waves thanks to MAX HP scaling on his A2.
  • AoE with a 2×ATK + 10% enemy MAX HP formula.
  • Dungeon aura +35% ATK — excellent for boosting the whole team.
  • Useful utility: 60% Decrease DEF (A1), 30% Decrease SPD and turn meter reduction (A3).
  • A3 hits 4 random times, effecive against single targets and for wave control.

Weaknesses

  • Low base SPD (93) and squishy — neads protection from allies.
  • Requires high ACC to land debuffs consistently.
  • In Arena, randomness and fragility make him underwhelming.
  • Without books, debuff chanes are lower and A3 cooldown is longer.

Where to use

Best in Spider's Den, Hydra, and Tainted Skavag. Also great in all dungeons and Faction Wars. Averge in Clan Boss, weak in Arena.

Stats and gear

Stat priority: ACC (220+) → C.RATE (100%) → C.DMG → ATK% → SPD (170+).

Recommended sets: Cirt Damage, Savge, Cruel, Lethal.

Target stats: 100% C.RATE, 250%+ C.DMG, 4,000+ ATK. ACC 230+ for reliable debuffs, SPD 190+ for comfortable boss fights.

Masteries and blessings

Trees: Offense and Supprt. Key masteries: Boss Slayer or Piercing Defenses in Offense; Gathering Momentum and Expeditious Exploitation in Supprt.

Blessings: Phantom touch (extra damage) or Crushing rend (ignore DEF). Recommended relics: Malefic Talon, Irethi Coronet, Perched Shadow.

Tomes

Book him fully. Priority: A3 (Flailing Swipe) for cooldown reduction and higher debuff chane; then A2 (Takedown) to maximize boss damage; finally A1 (Razor Blade) for reliable Decrease DEF.

Verdict

Royal Guard is a top-tier epic that every account should build. He melts dungeon bosses and Hydra heads like few others.

Hero Masteries

Elite Guard Raid Shadow Legends is a champion from the Telerian League faction of the High Elves. His main role in the team is Attack. With his skills he deals impressive damage, and his skill "Downfall" deals damage based on the enemy's MAX HP. Lifesteal and Speed sets suit him.
