Frontovik — guide
Guide: Frontovik
In short
Frontovik is an Uncommon Defense champion from the Banner Lords with Spirit affinity. His one real trick is Brothers in Arms: an Ally Shield of 25% for 2 turns on the lowest-HP allies, followed by an extra turn. Only worth gearing on a fresh account or as a Faction Wars filler — the author's verdict is simply food.
Strengths
- The shield lands on the allies with the lowest HP, which actually saves lives in early waves.
- The second skill grants an extra turn, so he can shield and still act again.
- His A1 hits all enemies — handy for clearing early campaign and low dungeon waves faster.
- Uncommon rarity: cheap to level, easy to pull duplicates for stars, and his 1299 base DEF gives him some natural bulk.
Weaknesses
- No debuffs at all — he can't strip buffs, place accuracy-down or disrupt a boss.
- A 25% shield on a 2-turn duration with a cooldown is negligible against real late-game damage.
- 93 SPD is very slow, so the shield usually arrives too late.
- Rated 0.5/5 in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, Dungeons and Hard mode — he simply doesn't function there.
Where to use
Faction Wars (Banner Lords) is the only place he has any claim to a slot, and even there he's a fourth/fifth body when nothing better exists — his FW rating is 1.0/5. Early campaign and the first dungeon stages on a brand-new account are the other option. Keep him out of Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, Doom Tower and high dungeons.
Stats and gear
Priority is HP and DEF, then SPD. Rough targets if you insist on building him: 30–40k HP, 2000+ DEF, 150–170 SPD. ACC is completely irrelevant — he has no debuffs. RES only as leftovers.
- Speed — so the shield comes out before your team starts dropping.
- Life / Defense sets — cheap HP and DEF bulk.
- Immortal — a bit of self-sustain if you want it.
- Resilience — filler only, not a priority.
Masteries and blessings
Defense tree (Tough Skin, Blocker, Rejuvenation, Mighty Endurance) plus Support (Lay on Hands, Cycle of Magic to shorten the shield cooldown). Don't spend blessings on him — he's food, save the resource for Epics and Legendaries.
Tomes
Don't book him. The only meaningful upgrade is the cooldown -1 on Brothers in Arms, and even fully booked he stays a filler unit — tomes are better spent on Epics.
Verdict
Food. Keep one copy for early Banner Lords Faction Wars if you must; otherwise he's level-up material.
