Galek — guide
Guide: Galek
In short
Galek is a rare Attack champion from the Orcs faction. He can deal AoE damage and buff his own Speed, and has a chance to place a large Decrease DEF debuff. However, his stats and ratings are low, and the site author recommends using him only as fusion material and picking Kael as your starter.
Strengths
- AoE attack (Risen from Hell) with +15% C. Rate and a 30% Speed buff for 2 turns.
- Third skill hits 4 random times and can place a 60% Decrease DEF if the target already has 2 or more debuffs.
- Aura provides +15% HP in all battles.
- Can serve as an early-game damage dealer in multiple areas.
Weaknesses
- Low base stats and Speed (103).
- Random targeting on the A3 makes it unreliable.
- Requires many Tomes to improve, with limited return.
- Quickly outclassed by other starter champions, especially Kael.
Where to use
Best in Faction Wars (3.0). Can temporarily fill roles in early Dungeons and Arena, but ratings are low everywhere (2.0–2.5). Nearly useless in Clan Boss, Hydra, and Chimera. The author advises against investing resources.
Stats and gear
Stat priority: C. Rate (to 100%), C. DMG, ATK%, SPD. Accuracy is optional. Target stats: ATK 4000+, C. Rate 100%, C. DMG 200%+, SPD 170+. Early on, use a Lifesteal set for sustain, then switch to damage sets like Savage, Offense, or broken sets. Artifacts: Gloves — C. DMG (or C. Rate), Chest — ATK%, Boots — SPD (or ATK%). Ring — ATK, Amulet — C. DMG, Banner — any.
Masteries and blessings
Mastery trees: Offense and Defense (for survivability) or Support (for Accuracy). Key masteries: Pierce Defenses (ignore defense) and Boss Slayer (extra damage vs bosses). Blessing: Phantom Touch (bonus damage). Relics: Malefic Talon or Irethi Coronet.
Tomes
If you choose to invest, prioritize his A2 “Risen from Hell” for increased AoE damage. However, the author recommends saving Tomes for better champions.
Verdict
Galek is a weak starter champion, best used only as fusion food. Start with Kael and send Galek to the vault.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.

Hero Masteries
With the first skill "Cross Slash", the Hero attacks a single enemy twice; the skill's damage depends solely on the Attack stat, the skill can be upgraded with tomes, and upgrading allows increasing the final damage by 25%. The damage multiplier is three per attack.
The second skill "Hellraiser". The skill's damage depends solely on the "Attack" stat. The hero attacks all enemies, increases their C.RATE by 15% and applies a 30% Increase SPD buff to themselves for two turns. Skill cooldown is three turns. Skill upgrade increases damage by 25%. The damage multiplier is 4.5 times the "Attack" stat.
The third skill "Cursed Axe" damage is based on the Attack stat. Galek attacks random targets 4 times (he can attack one target 4 times, two targets twice, etc.). With a 30% chance, he can place a 30% Decrease DEF debuff on the attacked target for two turns. If the attacked target has two or more debuffs, Galek can place a 60% Decrease DEF debuff also for 2 turns. Skill cooldown is 5 turns. Skill upgrades increase damage by 20% and the chance to place the debuff by 10%. The damage multiplier is 1.6 on the Attack stat for each individual hit.
The fourth skill is a passive aura, which works when the champion is in the team leader slot. The skill increases the HP of each team member, including the leader, by 15% in all battles.
Now it's worth talking a bit about the hero's masteries. In the game, there are several directions for character development: those who farm food, Arena heroes, heroes for dungeons, heroes for the Clan Boss, at the early and mid stages of account progression, players often use their characters in a universal way, i.e., use the character everywhere. In the early stages, Galek can be used in all locations. Examples of mastery tree builds will be below in the screenshots.
Now on to "gear".
Galek is an Attack champion, so his priority is developing the damage he deals. Let's take a closer look at his wardrobe:
Sword. The main weapon stat is flat ATK. Try to take a weapon whose additional stats include: ATK%, C.RATE, C.DMG, SPD. The next most important stats are HP%, DEF%, ACC and RES. The least important are flat HP and DEF.
Helmet. Primary stat is HP without %. For substats, the priority remains the same: C.RATE, C.DMG, ATK% and SPD.
Shield. The main stat is Defense without %. In substats, the situation is similar to the helmet.
Gloves. Here we have a choice of the main stat. We choose C.DMG provided that thanks to the rest of the "gear" we managed to achieve 100% C.RATE; if that is not possible, then we choose C.RATE as the main stat, and in the substats we look for C.DMG, ATK%, SPD, HP%/DEF%/ACC.
Armor. We choose ATK% as the main stat. In the substats we look for C.RATE, C.DMG, SPD, HP%/ACC.
Boots. As the main stat, choose SPD/ATK%. For substats, prioritize SPD/ATK%, C.RATE, C.DMG, ACC/HP%.
Now a few words about which sets to use. In the early and mid stages, your best friend is the Lifesteal set; as a second set, you can use any two-piece set (to make up for what you're missing). Later, when you reach high stat values with gear from different sets, you can use builds without a set bonus (solo), i.e., combinations of individual pieces of gear.
A few words about jewelry.
Ring. We choose the Attack stat.
Amulet. We choose the C.DMG stat.
Banner. Any primary stat.
Additional stats from accessories help us make up for what the champion lacks.
Total
-Is it worth maxing out the hero?
-Undoubtedly worth it.
-Will this Hero help me in dungeons, in the Arena, against the Clan Boss?
- Of course it will help.
- Should you choose Galek as your starter hero?
- He can be chosen as a starting Champion, but I would recommend paying attention to one of Galek's comrades. As for which one, we'll discuss that next time)
Attention! This is the worst starter hero!
At the start you should pick Kael
