Galkut — guide

In short

Galkut is an Epic Spirit Attack champion from Ogryn Tribes. His kit is random-target AoE damage, a team-wide bomb and a DEF Down on his A1, so he only shows up in Arena offense and Faction Wars — nowhere else. Build priority is very low: level him for Faction Wars and stop there.

Strengths

• Bomb on the whole enemy team: against Arena offense setups without cleanse he can chunk several targets at once.
• A1 hits twice and has a 25% chance (up to 40% with tomes) to place a 60% Decrease DEF for 2 turns — decent for cracking a single target.
• Aura: +24% C.RATE to allies in Dungeons — a free stat boost for the team and a good reason to slot him in Faction Wars.
• The double hit on A1 triggers shields and on-hit passives reliably.

Weaknesses

• Low base stats: 1 321 ATK and 91 SPD — he is slow and his damage stays modest.
• A2 hits enemies in random order and loses 25% damage per hit, so the output is unstable and spread thin.
• No control, no self-survivability, and Decrease DEF is his only debuff; that is not enough for bosses or Hard mode.
• The ratings say it plainly: Clan Boss 2.0, Dungeons 2.0, Hydra/Chimera/Hard/Doom Tower 2.0.

Where to use

Best areas are Arena offense (3.0) and Faction Wars (3.0): in FW he fills a slot and brings the C.RATE aura, in Arena he works as a cheap AoE bomber next to a turn-meter booster and a DEF breaker. In dungeons, Hard mode, Doom Tower or against Clan Boss (2.0 across the board) he brings nothing — use a real boss damage dealer instead.

Stats and gear

Build for damage: ATK first, then SPD and crit. Rough targets: SPD 170–200, C.RATE 100%, C.DMG 150%+, ATK 3 000+, ACC 200–250 only if you actually rely on his A1 Decrease DEF. Sets: Attack and Speed (a C.DMG set on the 4-piece slot is fine too). From the build list, equip the Malefic Talon and Irethi Coronet relics.

Masteries and blessings

Go down the Attack tree and take Pierce Defenses and Boss Slayer from the build list; the second tree is Defense or Support for survivability — there is nothing clever to plan here. Blessings are not a priority: if you have spare resources, Phantom Touch for extra damage or Iron Will for staying alive.

Tomes

Tomes are expensive on a food champion, so only invest if you use him in Faction Wars. Book A3 first — the cooldown reduction at level 5 means more bombs. Then A1 for +15% debuff chance (25% → 40%), his only useful debuff.

Verdict

Food. Don't build him: keep a copy for Faction Wars if you have an empty slot, and put the resources into any decent Epic damage dealer instead.
