Thug — guide
Guide: Thug
In short
Thug is an Uncommon Spirit Attack champion from the Orcs: a pure single-target damage dealer with no debuffs, no buffs and no utility. He only matters as a warm body in early Orc Faction Wars, and every other rating of his sits at 0.5. Build priority is simple — don't build him; he is food.
Strengths
- Sudden Death grants an extra turn when it kills the target, which actually speeds up wave clearing in early campaign.
- Cleaver hits twice, so it gives two chances to trigger Giant Slayer — the only reason to ever point him at a boss.
- Uncommon and common: duplicates feed his skill upgrades, so he costs nothing.
- Faction Wars is his one 1.0 — a cheap filler slot while your Orc roster is still empty.
Weaknesses
- 1189 ATK and 88 SPD at 6★ — he neither hits hard nor gets turns.
- No debuffs, buffs or control, just raw damage, and not much of it.
- No ACC in the base stat line, and nothing to land anyway.
- Rated 0.5 in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons, Hard mode and Doom Tower — he has no place there.
Where to use
Orc Faction Wars (1.0) while you have nothing better, plus early campaign wave cleanup. In Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons, Hard and Doom Tower his 0.5 means putting him in a team is throwing the slot away. The moment any Rare damage dealer shows up, Thug goes into the food pile.
Stats and gear
If you absolutely must fill a slot: ATK% on gloves and chest, C.RATE up to 100%, then C.DMG and SPD. Rough 6★ targets — SPD 150–170, ATK 2500+, C.RATE 100%, C.DMG 150%+. Ignore ACC and RES entirely; he has no debuffs to land. Sets: Savage or Cruel for damage, Speed to fix his turn order, Crit Damage on the amulet. Early on, any ATK% / C.RATE pieces will do — don't burn good gear on him.
Masteries and blessings
Attack tree down to Giant Slayer, which procs more often on his two-hit A1; spend the rest in Defense or Support for survivability, because 12225 HP alone does not keep him alive. Don't go deeper than that — redoing masteries later costs more than finding a real damage dealer. For blessings, Phantom Touch adds a little damage if he is already built; otherwise blessings on an Uncommon are simply not worth a thought.
Tomes
Do not spend tomes — they belong to Rare and Epic champions. Use duplicates instead, and if he is already in your Faction Wars team, push Sudden Death to its -1 cooldown first, since that is the skill that actually gives the extra turn.
Verdict
Food. Keep one copy in the vault for Orc Faction Wars and put everything else into champions that matter.
