Spine — guide
Guide: Spine
In short
Spine is an Uncommon Attack champion of the Dark Elves with Force affinity. He sits at 0.5 in every mode and only reaches 1.0 in Faction Wars, and the site author's verdict is blunt: food. The only reason to build him is needing a warm body to fill a Faction Wars team.
Strengths
- His second skill puts a 25% Attack buff on himself for 2 turns on a critical hit — the only genuinely useful effect in his kit.
- Force affinity gives him an edge against Magic enemies, which occasionally matters in Faction Wars.
- Uncommon rarity: cheap and quick to level, easy filler for a team slot.
- Fully booked, the second skill loses 1 turn of cooldown, so the Attack buff stays up almost permanently.
Weaknesses
- Both skills are single-target hits: no AoE, no control, no debuffs on the enemy.
- Low base stats: 1057 ATK, 89 SPD, 12555 HP — he is neither a damage dealer nor a tank.
- Damage stays negligible even under his own Attack buff.
- Zero value in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons and Doom Tower.
Where to use
Only Faction Wars (1.0), and even there as a slot filler rather than a real unit. Everything else — Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons, Hard mode, Doom Tower — is rated 0.5: he brings neither damage nor utility. If your Dark Elves team is already covered by proper champions, feed him away.
Stats and gear
The author gave no recommended build, which makes sense. If you gear him anyway: speed first so the Attack buff has time to pay off, then damage. Rough targets: SPD 150–170, C.RATE 100% (without crit cap the second skill never crits and the buff never triggers), then ATK% and C.DMG. Gloves C.DMG once crit is capped (otherwise C.RATE), chest ATK%, boots SPD. Sets: Speed, Perception, Attack, Cruel. Skip accuracy entirely — he has no debuffs.
Masteries and blessings
There is no list from the author here either. Building for Faction Wars: the Attack tree for damage and crit, plus the Support tree for speed and survivability. Blessings are low priority — damage blessings won't pay off on him, so take defensive or utility ones if you have nothing better to spend on.
Tomes
If you invest, put books into the second skill only, up to the final level for −1 cooldown, so the Attack buff barely lapses. Books on the first skill buy damage increases only and are wasted. But he is food — better to save tomes for real epics and legendaries.
Verdict
Spine is textbook food: nothing above 0.5, and his only purpose is filling a Faction Wars slot. Building or booking him only makes sense out of sheer desperation.
