Guide: Spikehead

In short

Spikehead is a Rare Magic Attack champion from the Orcs. He carries his own buffs — Battle Cry gives +50% ATK and +15% C.RATE — and his A3 hits three times with a built-in +20% C.RATE. Ratings sit at 1.0/5 almost everywhere, with Faction Wars (2.0) the only place he does anything, so build priority is minimal: vault or fusion.

Strengths

  • Self-sufficient buffing: Battle Cry hands him +50% ATK and +15% C.RATE for 2 turns without a support babysitting him.
  • The three-hit A3 comes with a built-in +20% C.RATE, so reaching a high crit rate through gear is easier.
  • Multi-hits on A1 (2 hits) and A3 (3 hits) chew through the Fire Knight's shield and proc artifact and relic effects more often.
  • Aura: +30% Ally DEF in Arena — a small extra for a defense team.

Weaknesses

  • 1,465 base ATK on an Attack champion — the damage ceiling is low even in great gear.
  • No debuffs and no utility: no DEF down, no control, no turn meter manipulation.
  • Fragile at 771 DEF and ~11.9K HP; he folds to the first focused wave.
  • Every buff is self-only, so he contributes nothing to the rest of the team.

Where to use

Faction Wars (2.0) is the one slot he earns — Orc secret rooms and early stages are fine for him. Everything else is a flat 1.0: Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons and Hard mode. Doom Tower is 0.5, so there is no reason to bring him there at all. Park him in the vault for fusion.

Stats and gear

Skip ACC entirely — he lands no debuffs. Priority: C.RATE to 100%, then ATK and SPD, then C.DMG.

  • SPD: ~170–190 so Battle Cry uptime does not fall apart.
  • C.RATE: 100% (85%+ works if the three-hit A3 always fires under his own buff).
  • ATK: 2,500–3,000+, C.DMG 150%+.
  • Sets: Attack, Lifesteal, Speed — in that order of priority.
  • Relic: Malefic Talon.

Masteries and blessings

Go down the Offense tree with Pierce Defenses as the key pick, then fill in standard ATK damage nodes. If he exists purely for Faction Wars, a couple of Support points for survivability are acceptable. Do not spend blessings on him — it is wasted resource.

Tomes

Books are a waste here. If you genuinely need him for a Faction Wars stage, the only meaningful booking is the second level of Battle Cry (cooldown −1), which shortens the stretch without his buffs. The A3 cooldown reduction at level 6 is pure luxury.

Verdict

A filler Rare attacker with no utility and a low base — leave him in the vault as fusion material and keep your gear and books.
