Rock Breaker — guide
Guide: Rock Breaker
In short
Rock Breaker is an Epic Dwarf Defense champion with Spirit affinity: his job is soaking hits and dragging enemies onto himself with Provoke, not dealing damage. He shows up in Faction Wars and low-tier Arena, where his passive 30% ally DEF buff and AoE Provoke actually matter. Everywhere else — Clan Boss, Chimera, hard content — he is dead weight, so the site author's verdict is blunt: vault (fusion).
Strengths
- Chest Strike puts Provoke on the whole enemy team (75% base) and gives him Counterattack for 2 turns — the tank even hits back.
- Iron Skin passive: 25% chance to cut incoming damage by 50% on every enemy attack.
- The same passive grants allies +30% DEF in Arena — a free team buff with no slot cost.
- A1 scales off DEF and stacks +4% DEF per use (up to +20%) — he ramps up during the fight.
- 4/5 in Faction Wars: one of the working tanks for closing out the Dwarves.
Weaknesses
- 91 Speed — slow, so Provoke lands late and barely protects the team.
- Provoke lasts only 1 turn and uptime is poor; unbooked it sits at 75%, meaning one miss in four.
- Almost no damage: a single DEF-scaling A1, he is not a damage dealer.
- The ratings say it all: Clan Boss 1.0, Chimera 0.5, hard 1.0 — not his content.
Where to use
Start with Faction Wars (4/5), where he is both tank and DEF buff. Then Arena (3.5) — realistically Silver only, since his Speed and cooldowns fall apart in higher tiers. Doom Tower (2.5) is fine as a tank on select floors, Hydra (2.0) is weak, and Clan Boss, Chimera and hard dungeons (1.0 and below) are not worth a slot.
Stats and gear
Stat priority: DEF first (aim 2,500–3,000+ for A1 damage and survival), HP 40,000–50,000, Speed 170–200 so Provoke lands before the enemy moves, ACC 130–180 for Arena Provoke, RES 200+ if you use him in a defensive setup. Do not build Crit — he is not a damage dealer. The build lists no artifact sets; generally go Defense, Speed, Perception, Immortal.
Masteries and blessings
The listed build uses In For The Kill, Expeditious Exploitation and Gathering Momentum. Relics: Molten Deathbell and Perched Shadow. No blessings are specified — pick something defensive rather than offensive on him.
Tombs
Book Chest Strike first: the +5%, +10% and +10% debuff chance steps take Provoke to 100%, and the last level adds −1 cooldown. That is the only thing that makes him reliable. Iron Skin comes after, where the levels raise the damage-reduction chance.
Verdict
An average Epic for Faction Wars and Silver Arena: useful exactly where you need a Provoke tank, useless wherever you need damage or real control. No reason to invest for high-end content.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
