Kaiden — guide
Guide: Kaiden
In short
Kaiden is an Epic Defense champion from the Dark Elves with the Magic affinity: a reviver who brings back two random allies and instantly gives them a 60% Increase DEF buff. He shines most in Faction Wars, dungeons and Clan Boss, and his DEF-based multipliers let him double as a damage dealer. The site author says level him up, but calls him an average Epic — so a medium priority.
Strengths
- Revives two allies at 50% HP plus a 60% Increase DEF buff for 1 turn — a rare and genuinely useful package in long fights.
- His AoE hit has a 75% chance to place 50% Decrease ATK for 2 turns, blunting wave and boss damage.
- All damage scales off DEF (3.8× on the A1, 3.2× on the AoE), so a tanky build still hits back.
- A1 carries a 15% Provoke chance — a nice extra, especially in Faction Wars.
- Ratings: Faction Wars 4.0, Clan Boss 4.0, dungeons 4.0 — a very even profile.
Weaknesses
- Base Speed is only 95, so without Speed gear he moves last.
- The revive is random — he cannot pull out the one ally you actually need.
- Revive cooldown starts at 6 turns and only drops to 4 with tomes.
- In hard content the rating falls to 2.0 — he simply isn't enough there.
Where to use
Start with Faction Wars (Dark Elves Crypt, 4.0): built on DEF, Speed and Accuracy he carries stages. Then Clan Boss (4.0) and dungeons (4.0) as a reviver and Decrease ATK debuffer. In Arena (3.5) and Hydra (3.5) he is workable but not top tier. Doom Tower (3.0) and Chimera (3.0) are situational, and in hard modes (2.0) don't count on him.
Stats and gear
Priority: DEF → Speed → Accuracy → HP. Targets: DEF 3000+, Speed 180–220, Accuracy 200–250 (so Decrease ATK and Provoke actually land), HP 40k+. Crit Rate and Crit Damage are unnecessary on a support build; for a damage build go DEF with Crit Rate/Crit Damage. Sets: Speed, Defense, Perception, Immortal — whatever fills the substats. Relics from the list: Molten Deathbell and Demonic Effigy.
Masteries and blessings
- Listed masteries: In For The Kill, Invigorated, Revival Blessing — leaning into survivability and support.
- Defense and Support trees are the base; in Support grab cooldown and survivability masteries.
- The guide lists no dedicated blessing — take one that boosts survivability for a Defense support.
Tombs
Book the A3 first (Courtly Aid): two tome levels cut the cooldown from 6 to 4 turns, which is the whole point of the champion. Next push the A2 to level 6 for −1 cooldown and the extra Decrease ATK chance. Leave the A1 for last.
Verdict
A solid average Epic: double revive with Increase DEF and an AoE Decrease ATK make him a good support for Faction Wars and dungeons. Build him if you need a reviver, but don't expect a star.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.

Epic hero Kaiden, Magic affinity, from the Dark Elves faction, was introduced to RAID: Shadow Legends in October 2020. In terms of stats, he is positioned as a support hero, as he can revive and provides a defense buff, while applying an attack debuff to enemies. However, his high multipliers allow him to perform as a damage dealer as well, both in the Arena and in Dungeons. He received his highest rating in Faction Wars, as he allows clearing all floors if built for defense, speed, and accuracy. There are two build options for him: damage and support.
