Klodd Beastfeeder — guide
Guide: Klodd Beastfeeder
In short
Klodd Beastfeeder is an Epic HP champion of the Magic affinity from the Ogryn Tribes. His kit is all about shields, team Speed and Accuracy buffs, and a free passive heal; he shines most in Clan Boss, Arena and Faction Wars. Build him on HP with Speed on top, but per the site author this is an "average epic" whose real home is the vault (fusion).
Strengths
- "Approval" puts a Shield worth 20% of his MAX HP on the whole team for 2 turns — decent padding for Clan Boss and Arena.
- "Beast Escape" grants +30% SPD and +50% ACC to the team for 2 turns, which makes gearing debuff-based damage dealers much easier.
- The "Guts" passive heals the lowest-HP ally for 10% of their MAX HP at the start of each of his turns — no turn cost, no cooldown.
- His A1 scales off HP (0.24 × HP), so an HP build still deals something.
- In Faction Wars he covers three jobs at once: shield, buffs and spot healing.
Weaknesses
- No cleanse, no revive and no real damage — his value drops in long fights.
- The passive heals a single ally for only 10% HP, which is thin against heavy AoE.
- The A1 crit rate debuff is a 30% chance and needs Accuracy to land.
- Long cooldowns (4 and 5 turns) leave him half-empty without books, and his base Defense is low.
Where to use
Best ratings: Clan Boss (4.0), Arena (4.0), Faction Wars (4.0). Slightly behind: Hydra and Chimera (3.5), where the Shield and Accuracy buff still help. Dungeons, Doom Tower and hard content (3.0) are not his place — those want cleansing, control or damage, not a middling Shield.
Stats and gear
Priority: HP → SPD → DEF → ACC. Rough targets: 60–80k+ HP, 200–250 SPD, 2000+ DEF, and 100–150 ACC if you want the crit rate debuff to stick. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG — his A1 damage comes from HP. Sets: HP sets (Immortal, Life), Speed, Perception for Accuracy; HP%/DEF% gloves, HP% chest, SPD boots.
Masteries and blessings
Main tree is Support, with the listed picks Blessed Heal, Invigorated and Heal 'N' Go. Take Defense as the second tree for survivability. Relics: Journal of Necrotos and Perched Shadow. Blessings are not a priority on a vault champion; if you do use him, pick a defensive or support one.
Tombs
Book "Beast Escape" first: two books cut its cooldown from 5 to 3 turns, which is his biggest upgrade. Then "Approval" (cooldown 4→3 plus a fatter Shield). Skip A1 books entirely.
Verdict
A likable cyclops with genuinely useful buffs, but not a progression champion — keep him for the fusion and Faction Wars.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
