Wurlim Frostking — guide
Guide: Wurlim Frostking
In short
Wurlim Frostking is a Void Legendary Defense-type support from the Fallen faction, and all of his damage scales off DEF (4× DEF). His job is team buffs — Increase ATK 25%, Increase DEF 60% and Increase C.DMG 30% — plus Freeze and Decrease C.DMG on enemies. Build him DEF and SPD first, but treat him as a Faction Wars pick and fusion material rather than a priority project.
Strengths
- Ice Armor puts Increase ATK 25% and Increase DEF 60% on the whole team for 2 turns; with tomes the rotation becomes almost seamless.
- Frost Blast is a rare double dip: Decrease C.DMG 30% on every enemy and Increase C.DMG 30% for your own team at the same time.
- DEF-based damage — he tanks and hits with the same stat, so ATK is completely wasted on him.
- Cold Wind has a 30% Freeze, and when it lands your lowest-HP ally also gets Veil.
- Passive — +30% DEF to all allies in Arena, a free bonus for any Arena lineup.
Weaknesses
- DEF-based damage cannot crit, so C.RATE and C.DMG on him are dead stats.
- Control is unreliable: only 30% Freeze, and the AoE debuff lands 70% of the time.
- 100 base SPD and modest HP for a defensive support — speed has to come from gear.
- The passive only works in Arena; everywhere else he is just a buff bot.
Where to use
Best by far in Fallen Faction Wars (5/5), where he carries the team. Next come Clan Boss and Chimera (4/5): the DEF and C.DMG buffs feed your damage dealers while he soaks hits. Arena and Doom Tower (3.5/5) — Arena thanks to the passive, Doom Tower as a tank with control. Weakest in Hydra, dungeons and Hard mode (3/5). Specific spots: Spider's Den, Bommal and Tainted Fyro.
Stats and gear
Priority: DEF → SPD → HP → ACC. Rough targets: 3500+ DEF (more is always better, it is also his damage), 40,000+ HP, 200+ SPD (220+ for Arena), 200–250 ACC so Freeze and Decrease C.DMG land on high-level targets. Ignore C.RATE and C.DMG; RES is optional.
Sets: Defense ×2 + Perception as the baseline; Resilience and Fortitude if you want resistance; Stoneskin, Defiant and Deflection for Arena work.
Masteries and blessings
Core is Defense and Support: Critical Bolster, Invigorated, Targetfinder. Add a couple of offensive picks — Pierce Defenses and Boss Slayer. Blessings: Cruelty for boss fights, Polymorph against Arena control, Temporal chains if you need tempo control.
Tomes
Book Ice Armor first: its first two levels are −1 cooldown each, so your team buffs stop falling off. Then Frost Blast for the −1 cooldown at level 7 and the extra debuff chance. Cold Wind last — its books only add damage.
Verdict
A solid DEF support for Fallen Faction Wars and Arena buffing, but the house verdict is vault and fusion. Invest only if you are pushing Fallen FW or need him for a fusion.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
