Bloodbraid — guide

In short

Bloodbraid is a Rare Barbarian with the HP role and Spirit affinity. Her kit is Provoke on the A1 and 100% Heal Reduction on the A3, but every skill scales off Attack while her Attack base sits at 892. Build her only for Faction Wars or as Doom Tower filler: Speed and Accuracy, nothing invested in damage.

Strengths

• A1 Blind Fury has a 25% chance to place Provoke for 1 turn — her only control, handy for pulling a dangerous target onto herself in Faction Wars.
• A3 Evil Eye applies 100% Heal Reduction for 2 turns, which shuts down healers and self-healing tanks on Faction Wars stages.
• The same A3 heals her for 30% of the damage dealt, giving her a little self-sustain.
• A2 Reckless hits 3 times with a 25% chance of an extra turn — a decent hit count for shield-type mechanics.
• Rare rarity makes her cheap to level and ascend.

Weaknesses

• Every skill scales off Attack while her role is HP — she deals essentially no damage and gains no survivability from the stat she scales with.
• 89 base Speed is very slow; she barely gets turns.
• All her effects are 25% rolls, so without books she is a lottery ticket rather than control.
• Ratings are brutal: 1.0 in Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons and Hard mode.

Where to use

Her best score is Chimera at 2.0, and even there she is a filler slot. Next come the middling 1.5 areas: Arena, Doom Tower and Faction Wars — Faction Wars is where she actually belongs if your Barbarian roster is thin. Clan Boss, Hydra, dungeons and Hard mode all sit at 1.0, so don't bring her. In Arena she offers little: a 25% single-target Provoke and a single-target Heal Reduction are too slow for current speed metas.

Stats and gear

Priority: Speed → Accuracy → HP/DEF. Rough targets: SPD 170–200, ACC 150–200 (higher for late Faction Wars stages), the rest into HP and DEF. Skip Crit Rate and Crit Damage — there is no damage to multiply. Sets: Speed, Accuracy, Perception, Immortal. Take Speed and Accuracy as substats on every piece that rolls them. Relics from the list: Malefic Talon and Mask of Rage.

Masteries and blessings

Offense tree for Pierce Defenses, Support tree for Puppetmaster; put the remaining points into Support (Accuracy/Speed nodes) or Defense for survivability. Blessings are low priority on a Rare — take a defensive one if you have nothing better to spend on.

Tomes

Book the A3 Evil Eye first: rank 5 cuts its cooldown, which means near-permanent Heal Reduction uptime. Then the A2 Reckless (cooldown reduction at rank 6). A1 books only add damage and proc chance, so leave them for last. Honestly, if your Barbarian Faction Wars is already cleared, save the tomes for someone who matters.

Verdict

Fodder. The site verdict is "Fodder" and there is no arguing with it: a Rare whose role and scaling don't match, with one narrow Faction Wars niche and no reason to invest resources.
