Rathalos Blademaster is a legendary attack champion from the Banner Lords, excelling at boss killing. With unresistable Decrease DEF and massive DEF ignore against bosses, he delivers devastating damage, especially when paired with HP Burn. Build him for maximum Critical Damage and Attack.

Strengths

Stats and gear

Stat priority: C.RATE (100%), C.DMG, ATK%, SPD, ACC (if you need the Decrease DEF to land on non-bosses). Aim for ~200+ SPD, 250+ ACC for Hydra/Arena, then stack ATK and C.DMG. Sets: Crit Damage, Savage, Cruel, Fatal, Lethal. Combine Savage and Crit Damage for maximum boss damage.

Masteries and blessings

For PvE (Clan Boss, Hydra), use the Offense tree with Pierce Defenses or Boss Slayer. In PvP, go with standard nuker masteries: Helmsmasher or Flawless Execution. Blessings: Crushing Rend (DEF ignore), Soul Reap (Arena finisher), Brimstone (extra boss damage).

Tomes

Prioritize A2 and A3 to reduce their cooldowns – this grants more AoE attacks and self-buffs. Book A1 last for higher debuff chance and damage.
