Guide: Nari the Lucky

In short

Nari the Lucky is a Legendary Defense champion of the Dwarves with Force affinity, and every bit of his damage and debuffing scales off DEF. He shines in Hydra (4.0) and Faction Wars (4.0) with Provoke, Counterattack, buff stealing and AoE Accuracy/Resistance down. Build him as a tank (DEF, SPD, ACC) but treat him as a low priority — the site author flat-out calls him food.

Strengths

  • “Countless Riches” is an AoE Provoke for 1 turn plus a 2-turn Counterattack on himself: he holds aggro and hits back.
  • The passive “Ringing Song” steals a random buff from an enemy every turn, hands it to an ally, and grants +5 Accuracy per ally buff — his ACC grows on its own.
  • “Rainbow of Misfortune” puts 50% Accuracy down and 50% Resistance down on all enemies for 2 turns — good in Hydra and in the Arena.
  • DEF scaling means a proper tank build also deals damage.
  • Booked, all of his debuffs land at 100%.

Weaknesses

  • Almost useless against Clan Boss (1.5): no poison, no Attack down, no shield for the boss fight.
  • Low base Speed (104) — without speed gear the Provoke rarely cycles.
  • Provoke lasts only 1 turn on a 6-turn cooldown, so books are mandatory.
  • Buff stealing is random, so you never get the buff you want. Author's note: “maxed him — didn't like him”.

Where to use

Hydra first (4.0): Provoke on a head, Accuracy down and buff theft genuinely relieve your team. Then Faction Wars (4.0), where he fills the tank slot. Arena (3.5) works as a provoke/debuff body and nothing more. Chimera, dungeons, Hard mode and Doom Tower sit at 3.0 — serviceable. Do not bring him to Clan Boss (1.5).

Stats and gear

Priority: DEF → SPD → ACC → RES. Rough targets: DEF 3000–4000+, SPD 200+ (more speed means more Provoke uptime in Hydra), ACC 250–350 (the passive helps, don't rely on it alone), RES as a bonus. Skip C.RATE and C.DMG entirely. Sets: Defense, Resilience, Speed, Accuracy, Immortal — whatever gives the best substats. Relics: Golden Elixir, Orb of Transfixion, Perched Shadow.

Masteries and blessings

The listed set leans defensive/support: Invigorated, Survival Speed, Unflinching, Targetfinder, Gathering Momentum, Expeditious Exploitation. The idea is simple — survive, take turns more often, land debuffs more reliably. For blessings, take anything defensive; he doesn't demand a specific one.

Tombs

If you commit, book “Rainbow of Misfortune” first: 75→100% chance and cooldown 4→3, his most dependable debuffs. Then “Countless Riches”: 100% Provoke and cooldown 6→4 — without that he can't tank. A1 last. Honestly though, at this verdict the books cost more than he's worth.

Verdict

A narrow Hydra/Faction Wars tank and a passable Legendary everywhere else. The site author's call is blunt: food.
