Guide: Unholy dog

In short

Unholy Dog is a Common Attack champion of the Undead Hordes with Spirit affinity. The site author rates him 0.5 out of 5 in every area and calls him food. He deserves no gear, no masteries and no Tomes — the only sensible plan is to feed him to a higher-rarity champion or park him in a Faction Wars slot you cannot fill.

Strengths

  • Common rarity: he drops constantly and duplicates are easy to obtain, so he is a steady supply of food for ranking up Epics and Legendaries.
  • Zero investment needed — he needs no good artifacts, no masteries and no Tomes to do the one thing he is good for.
  • Can fill an empty Undead Hordes slot in Faction Wars while you have no real roster for that faction, especially on early stages.
  • His single skill, as described, places a Sleep debuff on the target for 1 turn when it takes critical damage — occasionally it disrupts an enemy turn, but never plan around it.

Weaknesses

  • Base stats at 6★: 760 ATK, 760 DEF, 10245 HP and only 94 SPD — no artifact set turns that into a damage dealer.
  • One skill and no utility at all: no debuffs on demand, no team buffs, 0 ACC.
  • 15% C.RATE and 50% C.DMG mean his hits stay irrelevant even with upgraded gear.
  • Not a single area above 0.5 — Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena, dungeons, Hard mode, Doom Tower, Faction Wars.

Where to use

The ratings are 0.5 across the board, so he has no best area. He does not belong in Clan Boss, Hydra, Chimera, Arena or dungeons — no damage, no control, no support. In Faction Wars he is a warm body for an empty slot on early stages only, until the faction gets real champions. In regular PvE and Hard campaign he is at most a filler; feeding him away is the better play.

Stats and gear

There is no recommended build, and that is the point. If you absolutely must keep him alive in Faction Wars, build for survival: Speed boots, HP% gloves and DEF% chest, and ignore C.RATE and C.DMG entirely — they do nothing here. ACC is pointless too, since the Sleep effect comes from taking a critical hit, not from Accuracy. Do not upgrade artifacts past level 8–12 and do not chase sets; every piece of gear and silver sunk into this dog is wasted.

Masteries and blessings

Do not spend Scrolls on him — they belong to Epics and Legendaries. If he is only being ranked up as food, masteries are irrelevant. In the unlikely case you use him in Faction Wars, a defensive survival tree is the least bad pick, but it is still a waste of resources. Skip blessings as well; there are far better candidates in any faction.

Tombs

No Tomes for this one: his skill upgrades give only +5–10% damage and unlock no new mechanic. Save the books for Epics and Legendaries, where they actually cut cooldowns and improve effects.

Verdict

Food is food — do not spend gear, masteries or Tomes on Unholy Dog. Feed him to a higher-rarity champion and move on.
