Wretch — guide
Guide: Wretch
In short
Wretch is a Rare Attack champion of the Undead Hordes with Force affinity. His one real selling point is the aura: +30% Attack to all Force allies in every battle. Everything else — Heal Reduction, HP Burn, self-heal — sits on weak base stats, which is why he rates around 1.5 out of 5. Don't build him as a damage dealer: at best he is a cheap aura bot and debuffer for Faction Wars and early Clan Boss.
Strengths
- Aura of +30% Attack to Force allies in all battles — the only reason to keep him in the roster.
- HP Burn for 2 turns from Grave Flame — steady tick damage on high-HP targets.
- 50% Heal Reduction for 2 turns on his A1 — cuts enemy healing and Lifesteal.
- Life Absorption heals him for 15% of damage dealt, so he doesn't instantly fold without a healer.
- Rare rarity: cheap to level and easy filler for a Faction Wars slot.
Weaknesses
- Base 1,432 Attack and 716 Defence — hits softly and dies to any focus.
- 97 Speed means he rarely lands debuffs and loses the turn order to almost everyone.
- Heal Reduction is only a 20% chance — unreliable even after skilling up.
- Outside the aura he is worse than any average Rare nuker; the site verdict is blunt: fodder.
Where to use
His best modes by rating are Clan Boss, Chimera and Faction Wars (2.0 each) — and in Clan Boss and Chimera he is there for HP Burn and Heal Reduction, not damage; in Faction Wars he is there for the Force aura. Arena, dungeons, Hydra, Hard mode and Doom Tower all sit at 1.0: skip him there, literally any other champion does the job better.
Stats and gear
Priority: ATK% → SPD → ACC → C.RATE/C.DMG. Rough targets: 170–200 Speed so he actually gets turns, 150–200 Accuracy so Heal Reduction and HP Burn don't get resisted, and C.RATE near 100% only if you genuinely use him as a nuker. Recommended sets from the build list: Attack, Lifesteal (for solo survivability) and Speed. Don't spend good artefacts on him — leftover Attack and Accuracy pieces are enough.
Masteries and blessings
From the build list the key pick is Pierce Defenses in the Offense tree; fill the rest with standard damage masteries (Warmaster if you drag him into Clan Boss). The listed relic is Malefic Talon. Blessings are pointless on a champion who never lives long enough to use them.
Tombs
Don't put Tomes into him at all — the verdict is fodder. If you absolutely need him for Faction Wars, book Grave Flame first for the −1 cooldown (more HP Burn uptime), then Life Absorption for the cooldown and extra self-heal; the A1 only gains damage, so leave it for last.
Verdict
Fodder. Keep him only for the +30% Attack aura on Force allies in Faction Wars; the rest of the time he is safe to feed.

The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
