Fireblade — guide
Guide: Fireblade
In short
Fireblade is an Uncommon Attack champion from the Banner Lords with Spirit affinity. His kit is a boss debuffer — ATK Down and Poison — but weak base stats and no Accuracy hold him back. Build priority is minimal: level him only if you have nothing else for Faction Wars or an early Clan Boss team.
Strengths
- A1 Burning Spear places ATK Down 25% for 2 turns on a critical hit — that genuinely cuts boss damage in early Clan Boss and dungeons.
- A2 Path of Flame hits 3 times with a 30% chance per hit to place Poison 2.5% — three rolls in one turn, so at least one stack usually lands.
- Booked A2 pushes Poison chance to 50% per hit and drops the cooldown to 3 turns, so Poison stays up almost permanently.
- Uncommon rarity: books come from Campaign and stars are cheap to fill.
Weaknesses
- No innate Accuracy at 6★ — Poison and ATK Down miss constantly until you stack Accuracy from gear.
- 95 SPD is slow, he loses turns all the time.
- Low HP, ATK and DEF: dies to any AoE, and his spear damage is negligible.
- Low ceiling — useless in Arena and Doom Tower.
Where to use
Clan Boss (2/5) is his best spot: both ATK Down and Poison matter there. Chimera is a step behind (2/5). Dungeons, Faction Wars and Hard mode sit at 1/5 — early game only. Arena and Doom Tower are 0.5/5; don't bring him.
Stats and gear
Priority: SPD → ACC → C.RATE → ATK. Early targets: SPD 170–200, ACC 100–150 (130+ is enough for Clan Boss), C.RATE 100% so A1 actually crits and applies ATK Down, then everything into ATK%. Sets: Speed, Accuracy, Perception — the latter two fix Accuracy and add speed; if Accuracy is already covered, one damage set (Savage or Cruel).
Masteries and blessings
Use the PvE tree (Dungeons, Clan Boss, Doom Tower, Faction Wars): Attack plus Support. In Attack, Giant Slayer is the key pick — Path of Flame hits 3 times and procs it often. In Support: Sniper (extra debuff chance), Master Hexer (longer Poison), Pinpoint Accuracy and Lore of Steel. Skip the Arena tree entirely. Don't spend blessings on him — the slot costs far more than he gives back.
Tombs
If you must book him, take Path of Flame to level 6 first: Poison chance 30→50% and cooldown 4→3 turns is his biggest jump. Books into A1 only if you need reliable ATK Down. Realistically he isn't worth books at all.
Verdict
Food. Keep copies to rank up proper Banner Lords and only field him if Faction Wars gives you no other option.
