Warden — guide
Guide: Warden
In short
Warden is an Epic Defense champion from the Dark Elves with Spirit affinity: he gives the team Increase DEF 30% and Reflect Damage 30%, while dropping Weakness and Decrease ATK on enemies. His niche is narrow — Faction Wars and early dungeon waves — so invest only if you need a cheap defensive support or fusion material. Build priority: Defense, Speed, Accuracy.
Strengths
- Scorching Fire hands the whole team Increase DEF 30% for 2 turns and lands Decrease ATK 25% (50% chance) on all enemies in one go.
- Wall of Thorns puts 30% Reflect Damage on all allies for 2 turns — decent against fast-hitting waves.
- Death Mark adds Weakness 15% (40% chance) on every hit: small, but free.
- Passive: +30% HP for allies in Arena, occasionally useful on Arena defense.
- His first two skills scale off DEF, so a tank build still puts out some damage.
Weaknesses
- Low ratings across the board: 2.0 overall, 1.0 against Hydra, 1.5 in Doom Tower and Arena.
- Wall of Thorns scales off ATK, so on a DEF tank build it hits for almost nothing.
- Every debuff is chance-based (40/50%) — without Accuracy he often does nothing.
- 98 base Speed, no heal, no shield, no turn control.
Where to use
Best scores are Dungeons, Clan Boss, Hard modes and Faction Wars at 2.0. Doom Tower and Arena sit at 1.5, Chimera 1.5, and Hydra is 1.0 — keep him out of Hydra entirely. Realistically he is a Faction Wars wave-filler and an early dungeon support.
Stats and gear
Aim for DEF 3500–4000+, SPD 170–200, ACC 150–200 if you want the debuffs to land; HP as a bonus. Crit Rate is not needed beyond his 15% base. Sets: Defense, Speed, Lifesteal (for boss sustain). Relics from the list: Orb of Transfixion, Perched Shadow.
Masteries and blessings
Support tree with a splash of Offense/Defense for survivability. Key picks from the list: Invigorated, Targetfinder, Expeditious Exploitation, Gathering Momentum. Blessings are not a priority — if he ever sees play, take defensive or utility ones.
Tomes
Book Wall of Thorns first: ranks 5–7 each cut 1 turn of cooldown, which is his main upgrade. Then Scorching Fire (rank 7 is -1 cooldown). That said, he is vault material — Epic books are better spent on damage dealers.
Verdict
The site author's call is vault (fusion): his use is narrow and situational. Don't spend gear, masteries or books on him unless he is your only defensive support.
Build
The build is a guideline: the first sets in the list fit most often. Adapt it to your artifacts and goals.
