Guide: Icebound Prospector

In short

Icebound Prospector is an Uncommon Attack champion of the Dwarves faction with Force affinity. All he does is hit a single target with 4.8x and 7.8x ATK multipliers and occasionally land a stun with his second skill. Ratings sit at 0.5–1.5 out of 5 across content, and the site's verdict is blunt: food.

Strengths

  • Decent multipliers for an Uncommon: 4.8x ATK on the default attack and 7.8x ATK on the second skill.
  • The second skill has a 15% chance to place a 1-turn Stun — some control on an Uncommon kit.
  • Force affinity works well against Magic mobs in Campaign and the early Dungeon stages.
  • Needs no tomes and no fancy gear to be useful in the first days of an account.

Weaknesses

  • 991 base ATK and 93 SPD — he simply does not scale as a damage dealer.
  • 0 ACC on top of a single 15% Stun means the control almost never lands on anything with RES.
  • No AoE, no passive, no aura, no debuffs worth bringing to Clan Boss or Hydra.
  • His best score anywhere is 1.5 (Chimera); Doom Tower and Clan Boss sit at 0.5.

Where to use

By the ratings his best spot is Faction Wars (1.0) and the first Campaign chapters, where he is just a body hitting one target. Dungeons, Arena and Doom Tower are 0.5–1.0 — no reason to bring him there. In Hydra and Doom Tower (0.5–1.0) he contributes nothing.

Stats and gear

The author lists no build, because gearing him is not recommended. If you truly need him early, a basic damage setup is enough:

  • Gauntlets ATK%, Chest ATK% (HP% if he keeps dying), Boots SPD.
  • SPD around 150–170 so he acts before the mobs.
  • C.RATE 60–70%, C.DMG 100%+. ACC around 100 only if you actually plan to land the Stun.
  • Sets: Speed plus Lifesteal, or Fury — all from the early pool. Within a couple of weeks his gear goes to real champions.

Masteries and blessings

The site gives the standard PvE setup (Dungeons, Clan Boss, Doom Tower, Faction Wars). Offense tree: Deadly Precision, Keen Strike, Sniper (+5% chance to place debuffs — the only thing that helps the Stun at all), Bring It Down, Wrath of the Slain. Second tree Support: Lay on Hands and Master Hexer. A PvP setup exists, but the author states plainly that the champion is not recommended for Arena. Do not invest blessings here — if a free one drops, take a defensive pick (Iron Will) or Cruelty, but awakening resources are wasted on him.

Tombs

No tomes. If you have absolutely nothing else, book the second skill first: its 4-turn cooldown is exactly what stops him from stunning more often. Every tome spent here is a tome not going into a champion you will actually keep.

Verdict

Food. Keep him until you need to rank up another champion, and put no gear, tomes or masteries into him.
